So, I want to start off by saying if they could bottle and sell the aroma, they'd be gazillioinaires!!! Went on a Sunday with my son as we wanted to really sink our teeth into something hearty and revert back to our caveman instincts... Order at a counter and the. Seat yourself. Sauce is also self-serve. Good variety of meats. Restaurant has been consistently busy when we've gone.

We were really looking forward to eating at the Federalist Pig because of reviews & pictures we had seen. We received both sandwiches with cold buns Not room temperature cold, but refrigerator cold which was really disappointing! We absolutely loved the brisket and sausage in the Flood Sandwich, had great flavors and kept up with the Texas BBQ we're used to. Can't go wrong with this spot. Food is made to order. Happy hour 1130-5pm. They also have new seasonal food every month. Though I didn't get a chance to try the ramen last month, I was able to try the lamb gyro this month and it was delicious. Along with the chicken sandwhich and boa buns. I wish the chicken sandwhich was a little spicier but overall it was The spicy margarita in a can is also very good and packs a surprising punch. After 2 of them you'll feel jussstttt right

Great BBQ if you are in the area. Federalist Pig is definitely an interesting choice as BBQ places in DC are already hard to come by. This location was spacious with one section dedicated for tables if dining in, and another to order. They have a special menu too but I didn't order anything from there unfortunately. I'm sure you'd like the interesting fusion dishes such as Chili Cheeseburger Empanadas and Pork Belly Bao Buns. I got the sampler platter which was three meats and two small sides. Went here towards the end of porchfest so it was extremely busy and loud. Had some random people crowding us as we were trying to eat and also placing their drinks right at our table while we were trying to eat. Regardless, the food was amazing and I can't fault the establishment for the huge rowdy porchfest crowd. Despite the huge amount of people, the food was delicious and the staff did a great job clearing tables fast and keeping everything clean. Would definitely recommend the brisket

Eat here! Excellent food. I had the wings, fries and Bao Buns...whew, chile! That chicken was crispy on the outside and juicy on the inside, and the rub was so flavorful! Bao buns with kimchee, cilantro and brisket- YAASSS. Hubs had beef short ribs, which he said were tender and the rub was on point. Nice spin on tradition Mac n Cheese- jalapeño added a nice kick, and the cheeses were oozy and delicious. I have some banana pudding that I'm saving for later.... Oh! And the music ....PERFECT
