Our experience was just ok. Drinks were good, service was good, crab dip as an appetizer was good, but our dinners weren’t great. I got the blackened chicken avocado sandwich with fries. Fries were better than the sandwich. My friend got the Cobb salad and it was pretty bad. Way too much dressing and blue cheese. Too many red onions. Chicken was dry. Just not a good salad. Oh well.

I like Grindstone. Nice menu and friendly service. What I don’t like is sitting at the entrance to the kitchen. Staff walking on both sides of the table with dirty dishes and it’s loud. Remove the table completely and have a more open walkway to the kitchen.

We had the unfortunate experience of being seated next to a large group that was incredibly LOUD and obnoxious, and the restaurant made no effort to settle them down. Very off-putting.

I almost always get the salmon salad. It was poorly prepared this time. Almost no dressing on it, literally only found one pecan on it. Barely any crispy straws. Very small pieces of zucchini bread. Salmon was overcooked. They did take it off our bill without us asking. That was nice of them. Server was great. Husbands pasta was good.

Food came out cold. Beer glass sat empty for awhile and I was sitting at the bar. A strange person was going around talking to customers and we were told he had been there for 6 hrs. Don’t know why that happened.

I had chicken marsala and the chicken patties were the frozen kind that you buy that’s had the life beat out of them and fake ground marks on them not impressed with the chicken patties

First I want to say that our server was excellent. She went above and beyond to try to make our experience great. The food was OK at best. I did not like our booth. I felt very shoved into the corner. We were there to celebrate Christmas and have lunch together as a family. I ordered the short ribs. They were OK but just completely smothered in sauce and the mashed potatoes were way over whipped and my green beans were covered in sauce from the short ribs just not a very enjoyable meal. Very disappointed. Made a reservation for the Polar Lodge. Was taken to a seat in the dining area. When I told them our reservation was for the pop up bar they said they closed it due to wind. We were seated next to the polar lodge and watched as people were continuously seated in the Polar Lodge. When we told the server he apologized but did not offer to move us in to the pop up bar area. This was the entire reason we went there. The whole situation was handled poorly.

Service was not very tentative with us and took an hour to get a dinner order started and left appetizer plates on table when we got our dinner food.
