Clearly you are understaffed for a busy Saturday. Waiting way too long for a waitress to introduce herself, waiting too long for drinks, food was average at best, kids pizza gross, mahi dry.... general miserable experience...hire more people... I dont even blame our waitress, we could tell she was working hard, she was just being over worked.

I had made a note that we were celebrating my wife’s birthday and neither the hostess nor the server acknowledged it. Server was not very attentive and the food was just mediocre. We ordered dessert and they were not very good either. We told our server that, and he said we should try another one next time and did not offer to adjust the bill. The restaurant was also very warm and my wife’s dinner was lukewarm. We will not be returning.

Had chicken and noodles over mashed potatoes and it was awful. Right out of a can!!

Food was not impressive. Overcooked steak and dry bread on sandwich. First trip…no plans to return.

Be careful when ordering wine! I thought I was ordering a $13 glass of wine but ended up being charged for a “9 oz pour” of a more expensive wine we did not order @ $24/ glass. Let them know which size you want as in our experience after one person at the table ordered the 9 oz pour the server did not ask the rest of us. Better value to order the bottle if your table will have 2 - 9 oz pours of the same wine. And check the pricing on your bill matches the menu price. Restaurant is in a great location for those visiting and who live near Grand Park in Westfield. The atmosphere is fine, wide open space, and a fine place for a drink and traditional bar food. However, like the few times we’ve visited before for dinner, Grindstone failed miserably. My barbecue pork sandwich was so overcooked that the meat was crunchy and chewy. I felt like our waiter wasn't as attentive as usual. Instead of just getting all the info for our request at once, he would bring 1 thing, and we would have to request something else. In the past (at your restaurant) we ordered hot tea & were asked for a tea pref, if we needed sweetener etc, and received a pot of hot water, the tea/sweetener and a spoon to stir. Your waitstaff needs to clear dirty plates everytime they come to the table. I have visited Grinstone numerous times and each time the same thing occurs. Customers do not want dirty plates in front of them.

Menu is small and not good choices. Really odd menu for a more upscale place
