Great food, beautiful restaurant and super friendly staff.
We went the first week it opened. So kind of expected it not to be perfect however we were wrong. I did open table and was seated with in 10 min. Our waiter Carl was awesome. The food was delicious and will go again very soon. Would highly recommend.
Food was ok, server never brought appetizers. But we weren’t charged for them, so probably never put them in. Atmosphere is nice, newly opened so we will probably dine again, but will give them a bit to work out the kinks.
Open Table reservation was made for outdoor seating. However, we were not given outdoor seating. First table offered (inside) would have been too small for the four of us, so we had to request a different table (also inside). Moe, our server, was the best part of experience at Grindstone. We might go back.
The place is beautiful; our waitress was very good. It took a little long to get out food, but we weren't in a hurry, so it wasn't a big ussue. We all liked our food. A very good job; especially for just opening. I've already been back!
The stuffed pork chop was very good. I also enjoyed the bread pudding. We went on one of the first nights it was open and the service was great!!!!

This was my first experience with Midwestern fried pork tenderloin. My expectations were high, and when the dish was served I was amazed at the size and presentation of what looked like the ultimate comfort food. Boy, was I disappointed. I had no idea that you could pound a piece of meat that thin. Most bites ended up being primarily breading covered with gravy. I spent the entire meal trying to find the meat. Service was excellent, and the drinks were good. However, I’d stay away from the fried pork tenderloin.

Grindstone was having an off night with us. The waitress was very friendly, but not exceptionally attentive. We ordered a hot tea set up (provided our own decaf tea bag), but she only brought a half full pot of hot water and empty cup. We asked for a refill on the hot water, but it never came. Also, the salad had no dressing (or little enough to be unnoticeable). By the time the waitress returned to our table, we had finished eating and requested th check.
