I cannot express in words how wonderful my experience at Haw Creek Animal Hospital has been. My dog is super anxious and gets stressed over people holding his feet and legs and therefore has trouble getting his shots. They introduced me to sedation so that he does not have to have a horrible experience each time. They gradually gave him sedation and gave him the least amount needed which I was pleased to see that they did not want to over medicate him. They were patient with me and my dog. I have 2 dogs and I recently moved across town and needed to find a new vet for my babies! I had a horrible experience at my old vet's office and was so happy with the service at Haw Creek Animal hospital on my first visit! I have a weiner dog and an American Pit. My 13 year old Weiner dog had to go in for an emergency visit recently and she was close to death... They were amazing with the care they gave her! Dr. Sinclair is the best of the best. Extremely knowledgeable, thorough, trained in homeopathy and acupuncture as well. Recently we needed an urgent care visit for our senior kitty. Chester ingested some string from a rotisserie chicken and, of course, we were going out of town the next day. It was after 6 pm on a Wednesday and I called the clinic and they recommended we bring him by. I first visited HCAH with a sick chicken, and was amazed by the compassion shown. Dr Sinclair spent so much time with us, it was worth the wait to have her look her over and immediately know what the problem was. We have cats and dogs as well, and now choose to travel over an hour from home to Haw Creek when one of our pets is needing treatment. I can not say enough about Dr. Sinclair. I experienced a huge scare with my 5 pound senior Chihuahua. I literally thought she was dying -- but I didn't know why. It turns out that she had a major blood-sugar dip. She was fading in & out of consciousness because of low blood sugar. Dr. Sinclair spent an extremely generous amount of time with my dog. I honestly think this is the best vet in Asheville. Dr. Sinclair saved our pup Ruby when she was deathly ill from a neurological disorder. It was a total mystery at first and an employee at another vet recommended we go to Haw Creek to see if they could figure it out. This is the BEST Animal Hospital I have encountered in 42 years of animal care taking. They saved my dogs life as well as countless kitties that I have brought to them over the years. They have excellent hours and an amazing staff, who uses a multitude of techniques to better serve your animals needs! This place saved my baby holland lop. He got a traumatic brain injury from a poorly planned jump, and was uncontrollably rolling his eyes and head. Haw Creek made time to see us as a walk-in and after hours. They were sympathetic, encouraging, knowledgable and professional. Furthermore, when I was leaving I saw them make time for one more client whose dog was critically ill despite having already closed - it was well past 11. I have lived in 8 states and have 4 animals so we have been to a mighty few vets! Ive also worked as a vet tech and assistant for a few years so my standards are pretty high. My animals have been seen by Dr Saathoff and Dr Sinclair. They are both lovely people and are very knowledgable, trustworthy, and patient vets. They answer my lengthy questions and have been amazing to us. I recommend them full heartedly.
