The vet with the short blonde hair was extremely rude. We will not be returning. We have found their are plenty of kind vets in Asheville, there is no reason to go to this one.

I took my dog in to be euthanized. He was 15 and had a splenic tumor which had matastisized to other parts of his body. When I brought him in he was alert and responded to food so I was encouraged to have a surgery to remove the spleen and I was told he wasn't too old. Well I grasped at that straw because I wasn't ready to let him go even though I knew he was. That surgery would have cost $1300.00, alot more than euthanizing him. By time I got home he was having seizures so I rushed him back there. I really wish he didn't ha... read more
They misdiagnosed my dog with heart issues when it was actually choking on food. After having my dog all day and miss diagnosing they hand me my dog back and tell me to take it to reach emergency vet which is now med vet. My dog died in my lap on the way there due to lack of oxygen. Reach vet was able to resuscitate my precious baby dog. But the time without oxygen was too much and they said I had to let him go. As it turned out my dog was choking on food. So, when they put a tube down his airway it shoved the food further d... read more

A few years ago the service was decent. Now I find their professionalism and lack of communication and customer service to be poor. I won't go into detail but we did not receive good information, timely communication and we're basically accused of giving incorrect medication dosages. Are used to work in an animal hospital and I know how to do medications. I will no longer be taking my animals there for care. I need to take them to someone I can trust and feel confident in.

Arrived at this location at exactly the appointment time 11 am on 4-17-2021. I called the desk and gave them the requested information. Near the end of the conversation the lady asked for my phone number. I told her my number and she repeated it back to me, but she reversed the last two digits and hung up before I could correct her. About 10 minutes later a tech came out. She had dark hair and appeared to be about 40 wearing a multi-colored top with purple pants. She walked up to the car didn't say hello or anything like tha... read more

In from Atlanta, my dog was coughing and up all night. Called my sister's vet, said they would try to get me in ASAP. Never called me back. I called again and they said I could come in as "urgent" at 4:45. Waited all day, went at 4:45 only to sit outside office for 1 1/2 hrs. After watching everyone that came after me go before me I called and was told they would see my dog, as "urgent", when they could fit me in, after all appointments! Why didn't they have me come when there were no more appts? As "urgent!" I said ... read more

BEWARE! HAW CREEK ANIMAL HOSPITAL IS ON A DOWNHILL TRAJECTORY. Based on my experiences over a six or seven year period, you can expect to pay high prices, endure long waits, and, at best, get indifferent service. Like as not, you and your pet will be disrespected. (On 9/22/20, my dog was kept locked in a cage for almost 9 hours without food, waiting for a procedure that had been scheduled TWO MONTHS IN ADVANCE. The procedure was never performed.) Whenever questioned about the lack of timely service, the excuse I invariably ... read more
Haw Creek Animal Hospital is where my dog goes for his seizure medication. If he misses a couple pills, he will have a seizure. It's happened before and he almost died. I called them all day yesterday and called the pharmacy making sure they called in his med script. The lady at the vet on the phone told me after the 4th time I called "we're really busy right now. We'll get it called in some time today" and hung up on me. So that was yesterday. And now today, the pharmacy never got a script called in. My dog needs his meds s... read more
revolving door of vets. and after years of going there, they still don't know me and my dogs. I had my sweet Chihuahua put to sleep there and it was a NIGHTMARE. they couldn't find the right vien, then took forever to inject. I was devastated. they still charged me full price and had the nerve to send me a "sympathy" card. They also try to guilt trip us into having procedures and other things we don't need/want to up the $$$. NEVER AGAIN.
