I am new to Asheville and my jack Russell was having a major allergy attack. Dr. Marchitelli (sp?) was amazing and not only prescribed him something for immediate relief, but also suggested something we are going to try for long term. Everyone was super friendly and the office has a great vibe and easy parking. It was such a welcome change from past vet offices.

Haw Creek Animal Hospital saved my chihuahua. Dr. Sinclair and her staff provided my pup with the best care possible. My dog had cancer and the staff at Haw Creek came in on their Saturdays to help her out even though they were not scheduled to work. The work ethics of the staff are impeccable and need to be applauded. My pup has been in remssion for almost three years and I always look forward to her yearly checkups at Haw Creek because the staff and doctors are so compassionate to their clients. I normally don't take the time to do online reviews, but was so impressed by my experience with Dr. Heather Sinclair and her staff, that I felt compelled to post one. I've lived in Asheville with my pets nearly 30 years, and have only used two other vet practices during that time, both of which started out in humble buildings, and both of which eventually built large, new buildings. This was our first visit here since we just moved to the Haw Creek area. Our dog Luna had a few seizures last year, and then had one while my husband and I were out of the country at the end of April, which is why we made this appointment. I had our dog sitter bring Luna to her appointment since we were away and could not. Very disappointed in the $75 consultation for an oral abscess. Did not receive any medication to address the presenting infection and pain, but did receive a $1200 quote for a possible 8 week treatment plan. Left very upset that my cat's illness was NOT addressed. Fortunately I was able to immediately have her seen at SAVES where she did receive appropriate treatment.

If I could give 0 stars I would. I should have stopped going years ago when they wrongfully diagnosed my dog leading to his death. I spent thousands on specialist to save him and after he died and I returned with my other pets, the vet acknowledged they failed to give a needed exam. They have given conflicting diagnoses to my other pets and refused meds that were needed (meds they themselves prescribed). I will never recommend this vet to anyone!

Unfortunately Open Door referred us to Haw Creek because they didn't have any open appointments. I have a 9 week old English Golden Retriever puppy that I just rescued from a puppy mill. I came in because he has blood in his urine and I wanted them to check that and also look him over, since I'm not positive he's had any vet care to this point. Celia Feiler and Amanda, injected a handicapped, completely supervised 24/7, indoor senior dog, having unknown underlying immunity stress condition possibly cancer a rabies shot, which was not due and without consent. I believe(?) they are aware that rabies vaccine is toxic and causes immunity response. It can harm and be fatal if used on animal in the condition this pup was in, certainly not an action a qualified Dr. would take.(common sense).. The vet with the short blonde hair was extremely rude. We will not be returning. We have found their are plenty of kind vets in Asheville, there is no reason to go to this one.
