All are 5. The food is excellent, cooked by a chef. Wonderful activities. Clean facility. Kind staff. Yes, we would definitely recommend Heritage West community to other families based on the experience so far.
We did place my mom there. (Which you probably already know) she does really like it there. Especially because she could have her dog. Someone always checks on her. If she doesn't want to eat in dining room they will bring it to her apartment or she can pick it up. Every one is very friendly. The staff know her by name.
Overall the experience diminished over the 2 years my mom was there. Turnover in staff was a big issue. The new staff didn't know my mom very well and my mom was drugged up for a while before we took some action. The activities directors came and went every 2 months or so. In the beginning I would give all 4 and 5s but at the end 1 and 2s. That's why many are 3s.

The Décor caught our attention, then after touring and speaking with staff we made our decision. Very friendly and caring staff.
Our experience after moving in was not the same as during the initial touring process. After moving in, we found that communication between the facility administration is horrible.
Overall Heritage West Allis is very good. Depending upon the person living there or about to live there (if you're thinking of moving a loved one there), it depends on the location as I know they have other communities, as well as the convenience.
I toured Heritage West Allis, they provided a great tour and first impression. Culturally my mom is more acclimated to an Elm Grove location than a West Allis one. The other Heritage location we chose is a bit more in the country. I knew that's what my mom wanted because she had a country home.
I had to make an emergency for my mom, and [name removed] was vey helpful with the move in transition. My mom has been enjoying their cooked from scratch meals, and the regular flow of fun activities and exercising. Mom is much happier now, thanks to our move to Heritage.
