My experience with Heritage West Allis has been pretty good. The staff is great, and the facility is very nice. Most importantly, my father is very happy there.
So are things have been positive, while my mother isn't happy about being here, she always says that the people here are really nice.
My mother in law has been living at Heritage (assistive living memory care) for about 2 months now. She has adjusted well and seems happy. A lot of that comes from being made to feel welcome. I have not been there much but we have not had any issues. You have to stay on top of things, as you should wherever your loved one lives. I've had to give reminders several times for things I wanted them to do. They seem to be doing many activities and they try to keep the residents out of their rooms most of the day.
So far, this experience has been favorable. The thing to remember is that these residents have needs, and those needs can be difficult to deal with. I was not too impressed with the frequency of cleaning days. I think it could be cleaned more often. Also, I can't complain about the care, since it's a huge responsibility. My loved ones are reluctant to participate in the activities, but they offer a sufficient amount of options. The activities are awesome! They are good about accommodating a special diet. The size is good for us, it's a smaller memory care section than others we saw, and the proximity to her doctors.
They do a great job. They have a good staff of friendly people and they take good care of my mom. I really like what they do. I can't think of any ways for them to improve at this time.
Heritage West Allis is very nice. Our loved one had high demands and needed higher levels of care, which they are able to provide. She has her own place and the price was very good compared to where she was before, actually only paying half of what we were paying before. The community is close to were she used to live. They are feeding her very well and we feel like she is being taken better care of now. Overall we are very happy and lucky we found Heritage and would recommend it to anyone.
We tried to get into another Heritage at a different location, but they had no vacancies, so they told us to check here. We are happy with Heritage and would definitely recommend it to others.
Loved this place! Everything about it seemed to fit except for the location :-(. Would love something a little closer to home.
