I have been taking my dogs here for years. The doctors are excellent and caring and the nurses and staff are all wonderful. Because they have great doggie day care and grooming, my dogs love going to their offices for occasional play and pampering. They are never nervous going seeing the doctor because they associate the visits with lots of fun. There is a drive thru so you can drop your dogs off right at the door which simplifies the process. My dog received a wonderful senior wellness check and they even "expressed" her for free. She just had her teeth cleaned, which is a major process. The nurse called me with an update right after the procedure to assure me that my dog was safe and alive! She also provided several samples of dental products to keep my dog's teeth safe from tartar build up, which can bring on disease, especially in senior animal

I have used Hill Country and Dr. Holcomb for over 15 years. He and his staff have always been good to me and my animals. When I had to put my 13yr old dog down they could not have been more caring and compassionate. Now that I have a rescue dog she made her first visit to HCAH yesterday. Everyone was so pleased to see Rosie and made her feel right at home. She and I will continue to use Dr. Holcomb, Dr. Fletcher, and Dr. Bernard.

This place is awesome for daycare!! Conveniently located off of Bee Cave Road, next to Jack Brown Cleaners and across from Chevron gas station.. this place charges $12.50/day for daycare. The dogs are grouped by weight class and if they are puppies, they most often would be grouped with the smaller dogs. But for the entire day, they get to play in a fenced yard! I found Hill Country when I moved to Austin with my 5 yr old german shepherd. Years before I had another animal that I took to a different Westlake Vet. We had one visit there with Sinn and they racked up $500 in one visit with x-rays and other test. The price for vaccinations were supper high. I drive by Hill Country every day so I gave them a call and got pricing for annual vaccinations. Very reasonable so we gave them a shot. I've taken a number of animals to Dr. Holcomb since I've moved out to Western Travis County 10+ years ago. Their business has done nothing but climb sky high. I've never had a negative experience with animal treatments or procedures. I started off on the right foot with our newest dog by taking him in for boarding and grooming. We adopted our dog from a shelter and he had to fight numerous puppyhood illnesses throughout his first summer with us. Dr. Holcomb and Dr. Bernard were amazing and saved my dog's life. He is now a happy, healthy (if slighly gimpy) dog of a year and half! We see Dr. Bernard from time to time outiside the office and he always remembers us and asks how our dog is. I dropped my little dog off at doggy daycare for the first time the other day. I used to use a daycare in Mississippi called Pampered Paws and was hoping for another place like that. Pampered Paws sent my dog home with a "report card" telling me how she'd done and which dogs she played with and a handkerchief (which I heard this place would do but I guess that is only for dogs that see the vet? because she didn't have one!).
