My two labs have been coming here ever since they came home with me at 8 weeks old, 6+ years ago. They get all their regular care and checkups here, and I don't consider leaving them anywhere else for boarding. I know they are going to be well cared for and the staff is very communicative and attentive. I always get a follow up call and I feel like I am leaving my furry kids with friends.
We have used Hill Country Animal Hospital for our cat and dogs for over 10 years now and can highly recommend them. When our first two dogs reached the end of their very, long lives (15 and 16 years) and were beginning to suffer, the staff came to our home to help us peacefully euthanize them in comfortable surroundings. My lab, Halle, loves HCAH! We have taken her here since day 1 and have been pleased. The vets are great and are always very friendly. Every time Halle has gone to daycare she is completely exhausted and falls asleep before we even get home! We have boarded her for long weekends and have never had a problem- my only complaint is the time frame in which you can pick them up on Sunday- I think it's from 6:00-6:15?? Too short in my opinion and if you don't get to pick them up on Sunday, you have to wait until Monday. Overall, a ... read more
I love this vet hospital! When my old friend had to be put to sleep, the vet and staffwere so compassionate and caring during a very difficult time.I take our new dog to them and he has received excellent care. I even had to bring my 2 young boys with one time during an emergency visit and some of the staff watched them while i was with my dog. Love them!!!

I have nothing but good things to say about Hill Country Animal Hospital. My Lab has been going to daycare here for a few years and she loves it. She is a quiet, sweet Lab most of the time, but when I drop her off for daycare here - she barks excitedly until someone comes to get her and jumps halfway out the window. I have two scottish terriers. My eldest is a very very sensitive soul. One bad experience, and he is terrified of that place for the rest of his life. Since coming to Hill Country Animal Hospital for care and boarding, my sweet little old man pulls me across the parking lot and into the front door. I have been taking my dogs here for years. The doctors are excellent and caring and the nurses and staff are all wonderful. Because they have great doggie day care and grooming, my dogs love going to their offices for occasional play and pampering. They are never nervous going seeing the doctor because they associate the visits with lots of fun. There is a drive thru so you can drop your dogs off right at the door which simplifies the process. My dog received a wonderful senior wellness check and they even "expressed" her for free. She just had her teeth cleaned, which is a major process. The nurse called me with an update right after the procedure to assure me that my dog was safe and alive! She also provided several samples of dental products to keep my dog's teeth safe from tartar build up, which can bring on disease, especially in senior animal
