Hands down one of the best veterinary practices & doggy daycares we have ever dealt with. With respect to the veterinary services, they are attentive, do not oversell (unlike West Lake Animal Hospital, which was a reason we moved away from that practice), and provide great care. The staff at Hill Country Animal Hospital is, hands down, the kindest, most efficient and knowledgeable of any clinic I have ever used for my pets. From the moment you walk in the door to the veterinarians themselves, they treat your pets as if they were their own. I always refer people to this facility.
My dog goes to day care once or twice a week. She seems happy about going. I ask her if she wants to go when I leave for work. Sometimes she doesn't budge from her bed but usually she races to the door, prancing and ready to go. They accept dogs for day care starting at 7 am. The drive-thru drop off is usually quick and painless, and I'm off to work in a couple minutes. Working the dropoff into my schedule is completely reasonable. My dog comes here every day to play! The most affordable dog day care in town by far, and they do everything else (boarding, grooming, bathing, medical, you name it). The staff works VERY hard and takes excellent care of the animals. The doctors, vet techs, receptionists, groomers, and kennel techs are all caring people who treat your pets like their own.
I have taken my cats and dog here for over 10 years. Everyone is super friendly and the vets are great. Most importantly, I trust them with my pets. The groomers always do a great job with my dog. Their pet portal also sends me reminders when my dog is due for a vaccine. Could not recommend this place more.
I love Hill Country Animal Hospital and the staff! They are always friendly, happy and willing to answer questions. I love that I can drop my dog off for vaccines and then she can spend the rest of the day playing in daycare, and I can pick her up without getting out of my car. If the vet sees her when I am not there, they call immediately after with an update. They send reminders for upcoming appointments, and they also call to follow-up after boarding visits. Great all around and very convenient for me!
We are new to the area and had to find a new vet for our four babies. Hill country is awesome we have four HIGH maintenance dogs that we love and spoil. The older dogs are 7 the two younger are 5 we have Never boarded any of them until now. I brought all dogs in for shots and check ups then one for an injury that required stitches. Our Sheltie, Raleigh, is an old lady. She will be 14 this coming month. We had been used to a familiar care giver coming in the home and spending the night with her when we were away when we lived in Phoenix. Having moved recently to Austin have not been able to find such a person in the Austin area. Another day care boarding place for dogs, recommended Hill Country for boarding her for a week. I love HCAH! I've been taking my oldest cat, Winnie, here for a few years...she isn't the most tolerable cat when it comes time to take her in but the staff here is so gentle and patient with her, they even call to check up on her after a visit and send cards on her birthday! My new kitten recently got into some lilies and had to stay overnight and I slept well knowing he was in the best care and when I went to pick him up I noticed they had cleaned his ears!
