worst product to buy very poorly design printer. Help desk is worst. Avoid this printer . Hard to work with this and impossible to set in computers
Toner Spots Forever We have owned Brother printers for years, and it seems the machines we've purchased in recent times are not of the same high quality as the ones purchased in the past. The specific issue with this printer is that black spots of toner appear intermittently on printed documents and especially when printing on letterhead or any paper heavier than cheap 20# copy paper. ALL IN ALL A TERRIBLE PRODUCT Cant print more than 60 pages without a paper jam. every 8-10 minutes asks me to "slide the green button" on the drum and IT STILL WONT PRINT EVENLY. The pages have 1/2 unable to read or just words missing. Keep asking me to "load the MP tray" of which I have not used and is a BYPASS tray. So when it stops I have to open the bypass tray and add paper JUST TO GET IT TO START printing the document. Could not get second drawer to print I needed the printer to print both letter-size and legal-size pages at the same time but I could not get it to work. I spent about twelve hours total with the tech support guy trying to get it to work but he couldn't get it to work either. So he said I should return it for another one because there was something wrong with it. I am now waiting for the new one to arrive to try again.
Not thrilled When printing the machine smells hot like it is burning and it constantly jams in the middle of a print job.
Connectivity issues and trouble printing letter and legal within the same document... My primary reason for purchasing this printer was because I’m starting a new notary business and need to be able to print both letter and legal size pages often as part of the same document. Be warned I'm a notary and bought this on the recommendation of others in the field, so based on the other reviews take this with a grain of salt. Purchased this printer brand new, and 8 months later the drum craps out on me. Still, under the manufacture's warranty, I call Brother thinking that they'll easily ship me a drum or just replace the whole thing. Either would've been fine.
