    Not reliable Nothing but print problems when in sleep mode. And dual paper tray does not work half time. Spent hours on phone with techs get it running soon goes sleep mode have turn on and off. off!

    This is a scam This is not a review of the product, which seems like an okay printer. I haven't tried all its features yet. But what every buyer should know is that Brother is perpetrating a fraud with the price of the printer. When I went to install it, it didn't come with any instructions for the Mac, so I went online and tried to download the drivers. They wouldn't download. Called support.     Printer Great printer....handles several sheets of printing without an error. The 2nd tray is tricky to install. I use a Mac and says it automatically reads the 2nd tray (legal size) but I have not been able to get the programming correct. Called tech support and was on phone for over an hour. Tech attendant was unable to figure it out and with their accent it was difficult to understand them.

    Poorest Quality Brother Printer I've Ever Owned This printer has given me nothing but problems, from fuses shorting to installation nightmares to bogus errors like "No paper" when printer is sufficiently full of paper. I even tried switching the tray sizes to help, to no avail. I definitely would not purchase this one, and I'm avoiding Brother like the plague now too, after years of frustration with their customer service. Hours on tech support for 'workaround' fixes that don't last. Crappy quality all around.

    DO NOT BUY I've had nothing but trouble since I purchased this printer. The only reason I bought it was to be able to print PDFs using the dual tray function. I have spent over 12 hours on the phone with Brother customer service trying to resolve this issue. They now claim because the printer can print a Word doc test page, that the issue is not with the printer, but the PDF files. What a joke their customer service is.

    I do not like this printer. I do not like this printer. It has been nothing but a problem from the first moment I received it. I have yet to complete a successful print job. I have been on the phone with Apple Support and Brother Support for hours trying to fix the issues with zero success. I wish I could return it, but my window has closed apparently.

    Terrible machine Bought this in May and recently replaced it with an HP. Couldn't easily select between trays. Rarely fed properly. Jammed. Wish we could get our money back...terrible machine.

    Many paper jams I use this printer for notary work. Loan packages are often over 100 pages and include both legal and letter size. This printer jams often 3 + times in one print job in the back. Must stop, access from the back to remove jam then open front etc. I purchase this printer based on other notary recommendations, not sure if I received a lemon or what. I just called tech support that transferred me to Bother. They can't help unless it's currently jammed. So I guess I will need to wait for another jam which I'm sure... read more

    Ok with poor tech support for page creasing The printer is slow when making a wireless connection but starts printing after buffering the document. I'm getting a vertical paper crease in the print output for 8.5 x 11 pages. I went to the Brother website for a solution and the instructions stated to turn the paper over. That did not work and there is no way to send an email to tech support for help.
