nice printer for wifi from computers - not so sure about mobile devices. My word, this is fast. Printing one sheet, its not so fast, takes a while to heat up (as all lasers do) then the paper shoots out. But, if printing multiple pages it doesnt slow down - printing three pages takes as long as printing one! Printing 10 takes a little longer. parts replacement I bought this printer and liked the quality as well as the amount of user control. The problem with this machine is that it is disposable after 2 years or so when the fuser needs replacing. Unlike most printers that have a removable fuser unit, Brother has made it difficult if not impossible to replace the fuser. Sure, you can buy replacement rollers but without special skills or tools you are out of luck. HORRIBLE PRINTER!! I can't believe how terrible this printer is! It takes literally one minute for it to start printing anything over wifi. Then when printing multiple copies of a document, it can only print three copies at a time, takes a short break, prints another 3 copies, takes a break and so on. SLOW!!! I'm returning it ASAP.
usb doesn't work It has a type A usb connector on the front! Bizarre. Is there a usable cable in existence? The documentation doesn't mention usb. Tech support seems to be a dumb robot. I guess I'll trash it.
Seems solid, just garbage for color prints. All I hear about is how wonderful Brother printers are. I run a small business and when I'm looking for information about what is causing a hiccup in one of my other laser printers, I always find nice detailed Brother documentation and instructions. This model is too slow. I don’t recommend I had used brother models however this printer was too slow printing. Also, printing quality is not good. Printing tray selections are confusable. Don’t waste your money with this product
Just stopped working. Can't reinstall. Worked fine... until it didn't. It just stopped working and there was nothing I could do to fix it or reinstall the printer driver. Followed all the instructions to the letter and nothing worked.
It is very difficult to use. It is difficult to use, the menu is not so easy to use. If I could send it back i would, but I cut up the box it came in., I have had HP, & Samsung and they were easy, but this brother is difficult.
Poor Print Quality The print quality is not what I need for my business. I contacted customer support and was told I needed to buy all new toner to improve the print quality and not use the starter toner. I would not have bought this printer if I knew the quality wasn't going to be there straight out of the box.
