When it prints it is great, when left unused for 4 weeks, it has to be reinstalled OMG - what a huge PIA! I bought this for the occasional intermittent color printing, but this thing gets lost every time I need to use it, and I find myself searching the web for the brothers software to try to re-install the drivers and application and hope that I can print. Worst Printer I have ever had I purchased this printer to be able to print Legal documents for mortgage closings. I can not print different sizes at the same time. Pages are crumpled, corners are bent. The printer constantly goes into sleep mode. The only way to fix it is to unplug, reboot and say a prayer. I would not recommend this printer for the price.
JUNK! Do not purchase For an office environment, this printer is useless. It takes several minutes to warm up. It cannot print more than 3-4 pages without stopping for at least a minute to "think". It randomly duplexes documents for no reason. On average, a 10-page text document takes 6-8 minutes to print. This is ridiculous! I could go on, but there's no use. There are other Brother printers in our office, but this one is going to get flying lessons very shortly.
Not worth the price. I would not recommend it for a business. It's very slow. I bought this to print labels for products I sell. I'm using the same file I've always used, but it doesn't seem to center in the label and I suspect it's the printer, because I haven't had that issue before. I've tried both trays. The manual tray will pull two or three papers at a time. Died Two Months After Warranty Expired Paper jammed. Printer died. Brother says it's out of warranty.
broke after 2 years of use. this product broke after 2 years of use. I had a Lexmark that's worked for over 7 years with no issues. I decided to upgrade and after two years the new printer broke. My Lexmark still functions. not going to purchase a brother printer ever again.
Junk Printer Will not print properly on 4 x 6 card stock, wasted dozens and dozens of cards experimenting with margins and paper size to get the image centered, cant quite get it right. Toner is not being fused into the paper fully, 2 out of 10 print jobs the toner is falling off the page. Color banding. This printer is complete junk, why cant anyone make printer that works like the old HP I had? Avoid this printer I loved this printer when I first got it!! Then after a couple months it started giving me problems. I had to call tech support for help. I have had it a year now and for the past 6 months it has printed pink & black stripes on every page that won’t go away. Now the paper jams continually and it won’t print anymore. Did I mention the ink cartridges are ridiculously overpriced at $500.
