I felt very uncomfortable when a Homefix sales person rang my doorbell this evening at 7:15pm. I told him I was on a call and wasn't interested, but he ignored that and kept doing his sales pitch. I repeated 4-5 times that I wasn't interested, but he wouldn't leave. This made me uncomfortabe and scared. I told him that was now 5 times I've said no, and now I was telling him to leave my property. He still wouldn't leave, so now I said I would call the police if he didn't leave. Ladies And Gentleman:The conversation was pleasant but BS. My property was badly damaged I want a repair to all damage to home.
I had my roof installed in the November of 2021. This was after pressure from the crew leader/manager that the windows they had just put in would not be fully covered in warranty due to the condition of my current roof. In the May of 2023 I had a leak around the area where the roof meets the chimney, it appears that the leak has been there all along and was building up inside the drywall of my attic ceiling, but had finally started to soak through the drywall to be come noticeable. I gave a deposit for a roof job with the understanding that I could cancel within 3 business days. I canceled next business day via email as per the contract. I received two out of office emails. I received an email stating that wanted to visit to confirm the address for the refund. I have called several times. I have contacted the salesperson that came, who said I should not have any trouble getting a refund. The check has a ************ stamp and was cashed next day. Still no refund.
I am filing a complaint against HOMEFIX Remodeling for unethical sales and business practices. I worked with **************, a sales consultant from the ************** office, to replace windows and a sliding door in my 13th-floor condo. Evil company. They find business by going door-to-door and robocalling people, providing an egregiously high quote, and then claiming that the price will go higher if the potential client doesn't agree immediately. I went with them after counter-offering a reasonable price that they surprisingly agreed to, but when the work was done, the quality of the work was mediocre and they then demanded I agree to an even larger contract for more work, again at a ridiculous price. I canceled my contract for some windows. I am getting the run around on getting my $4,894 deposit back. Today I spoke with ***** twice with Homefix at 845 this morning and again at 1p and she said someone would be calling me to let me know they are coming here for me to sign to get my deposit back. After not hearing from anyone I called the Maryland number around 245p and spoke with *****. She said it takes a few weeks for the cancelation and a few weeks to get a refund. This is ridiculous. HCR canceled my contract the day of the install, then texted me and asked if the install happened I replied back no, Then no contact from HCR. Mean while all the material has been left in my front yard since February.
DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY - NO MATTER THE PRODUCT!!! They overcharge and do not honor their warranties! Do yourself a favor and find someone else!!! Awful awful service especially for the price!!!!
