I have stayed in several places in Black Hawk and for the price the Horseshoe is by far the best value. The only reason it does not have all 5 stars is because our doors to the balcony did not lock.

Only 3 blackjack tables were open. The dealer was cool but you can tell they took over a fairly rundown hotel and cheaply renovated. Table games were very disappointing.

The room was nice, but I specifically asked if there was a tub in the bathroom. I was told yes, but there was only a shower. The price was good though.

No problems at check-in. Quick and easy. Rooms were nice and clean. Front desk staff and room service staff were very nice and helpful. Enjoyed our short stay. No complaints.

We had a blood stain in our sheets and the shower did not close all the way… everything else was good though.

Property was a little dirty and outdated, we went to bed and woke up sleeping on the bare mattress because no fitted sheet was put on, only a top sheet laid over the mattress… wish we would’ve noticed this beforehand.
