Wonderful experience! Adam was very professional, personable, and was happy to answer my questions. He even let me watch him do the camera inspection of the flue, explaining as he went! Very thorough! I am working toward my ICA Home Inspection certification and would have no problem recommending this company to a client if I thought a more thorough inspection was needed by a qualified chimney professional. I will definitely hire again when I reach the point he recommended. Worth every penny!
Jack Pixley installed our gas insert, and we've used them for annual maintenance since. Setting up appointments for service is easy and we are informed the day before service when the technician will arrive. The technician carefully covers the area near the fireplace, explains what will be done and how long it will take. After the work is completed, the technician makes sure the area is clean. The technician also does a visual survey of the chimney outdoors and points out anything that could be a future issue.
I have been using Jack Pixley Sweeps since 1993! Jack came out on my first service call. I had never had a fireplace in a home. He was so knowledgeable and walked me through what type of firebox I had and how to use it. It was so sad when he passed away but he passed his knowledge, honesty, and integrity on to his employees. Jack Pixley Sweeps is always great. We have used them for annual chimney cleaning since the 1990’s, for a major chimney repair due to a builder’s flawed construction, and for more mundane things like dryer vent repair. Their customer communication systems at all levels are a model for every business to follow. They did a great job and were very detailed.
Ultimate result wasn't good for me, but they were the first company that ran a camera up the chimney to show the damage and required repairs. Based upon the inspection, it was recommended not to sweep and clean since it didn't need it plus I have to decide what to do going forward. They could have swept and charged me but they were honest and said it wasn't necessary, so that was greatly appreciated.
This was the third visit from this particular technician & trust his work.
