She is to the point...efficient!! And she attended UT (my school). She is intelligent and to the point!
The office sends way to many emails and texts (even when you ask them to stop) before you show up. Then everything is digital so even thought I provided them all of my data (in paper form) before I got there, I was expected to complete there online forms. Some questions I was not comfortable answering but had no choice! I went to see Dr. Shen about an object in my ear. Turns out I had small hairs in both ears from a hair cut. She removed the 4 hairs from the right ear which was great. She refused to remove the the hair in the left because it would eventually come out on its own. WTH kind of logic was that! I'm in the exam room, she's already removing the other hairs but I guess 1 more was an inconvenience. I asked her to remove but she would not. So no I would not go return to see this doctor nor would I ever recommend her.
My wait time to get in and see Dr Shen was minimal. I waited maybe three minutes the lobby and was immediately seen by her assistant. After her assistant checked me in, it was maybe another three to five minutes before Dr Shen arrived, diagnosed me, and gave me options for treatment. I had a procedure done that day in the office that immediately improved my symptoms.
My experience was horrible. On 5/11/2020 I made an appt. due to horrible ear pain and my vertigo. I was given a 10:15 appt only to get there and they say they can’t see me because I don’t have a referral but mind you I was seen there in January with a referral. This explains the harassing phone calls from their billing dept. the office manager Jessica M was to no help. She blamed me for not making sure the referral was sent but I was seen in January 2020. The doctor is ok even though not that knowledgeable. but the staff and the assistant are so disappointing. They never reply back phone calls and not giving enough information. Called and waited for so many times for nothing.
Dr. Shen was very attentive to my concerns and was knowledgeable on what she was doing.
Very relatable and friendly. Thoroughly explains everything to you.
Dr. Shen takes the time to explain issues and procedures, and worked well with my toddler. She also sees three other family members and we’re happy with her knowledge and demeanor.
