45 minutes to get served after sitting down at our table
Reso was confirmed for 6:15 and were seated 6:30 to a messy table. We had to ask a couple of times for someone for service. Food came out before drinks so we just canceled the drinks and took a couple of times asking before we finally got the bill. Not the usual experience.
They forgot to prepare a table for us. We were waiting about 20 minutes maybe more to get the table!! What’s the point of reservation?
Service was poor from beginning to end. Was ignored at the reception desk but multiple employees. I had to ask if I could be seated for my reserved time. My dinner guest and I weren’t offered the (free) bubbles, that other guests were given. I questioned this and was told some would be brought to the table: it never arrived. First the server took 20 minutes to contact us. Half of the restaurant was empty. Then we order the drinks and without asking for the food she went away. Contacted the host as tgem to send tge server for food order ends up half of the items not in stock which we weren’t aware of. Then we asked them for cheque and she said “DONT COME BACK”. Like seriously.
They did not have our reservation. What the heck was the point in using open table. We just got some random seats instead of a nice reserved booth or something. Seems unacceptable to me.
Service was extremely poor. Had to ask for my wife’s drink 3 times. She asked for a Cava at the same time as my appetizer and didn’t get it until she was half way through dinner. My burger was average at best (not as good as usual). Not sure if it’s a training issue but our gal seemed scattered.
I am a regular at joeys near my home in manhattan beach CA and brought a party of seven to the Vancouver location on a family trip. First the good….the food is always solid and the menu varied enough to have something for everyone. The poor rating here is due to the really disappointing service we received on this trip.
