I am a regular at joeys near my home in manhattan beach CA and brought a party of seven to the Vancouver location on a family trip. I had ordered a special dessert for one of the people at lunch and I called ahead of time but it never showed up very disappointing

This one definitely the most disappointing visit I’ve had at a Joey. We were sat right away which was great but after having two separate people ask us what we wanted to drink we waited over 15 minutes for our drinks. In fact my margarita came at the same time as my food which was ordered after. My dish was inedible and I asked the sever if I could switch to something else. I ordered a medium rare NY Striploin unfortunately came out medium. I told the server but instead of getting a new steak cooked, she said it looked medium rare and can get the temperature checked. I declined because I did not want her to bring back a cold steak after checking the temperature. I have never heard a server say they will check the temperature! If it’s over cooked servers always just get another steak redone. She didn’t check up on us again until it was time to pay the bill. Awful food awful service!

Table was dirty, chairs covered in crumbs. My plate and napkin was taken away without asking if I was done.

The Overall experience at joey’s wasn’t the most welcoming establishment I’ve been to. One of the concierge’s was extremely rude to my sister and our friends on their birthday. We came into the restaurant and we let one of the other concierge who was a bit more polite that we had a reservation in which the concierge told us to have a seat at the waiting area. First, our server was missing most of the shift - there was some confusion as to who our server was. Second, I think our server was missing because the restaurant was packed! You could see multiple households mingling, hugging, not wearing masks and chatting between tables. This was really troubling. We enjoy the food at Joey, but this was over the top - it goes to show the customers are not adhering to the health care guidelines and the restaurant was turning a blind eye.
