Lets set the story straight. You first requested to check in at 12:30am the night prior but when prompted with an entire nights stay + tax fee you chose to come back later in the day. You did check in at 1pm which is 2 hours before the scheduled check in time therefore brought the fee to $30. I do see you enjoyed breakfast which you forgot to mention the amount of food you took back to your room to feast on.
