We decided against hiring Lifetime Remodeling systems for several reasons. First, they didn't want to bid on the homes as a group or talk to us as a group, but wanted to do each one individually. The estimator also wanted to talk to the husband and wife, rather than one. My husband and I were uncomfortable with the pressure sales tactics. Instead of a breakdown of costs, he started with a huge bid stating "Like Home Depot or Sears" then started discounting it 15% here and there. WELL HERE WE GO AGAIN. ANOTHER HOMEOWNER THAT WE DIDN'T DO ANY WORK FOR CALLING US EVERY NAME IN THE BOOK. THIS IS THE THIRD SUCH REPORT WE'VE RECEIVED OVER THE LAST TWO YEARS AND THEY ALL WERE FROM HOMEOWNERS WHO DIDN'T HIRE US. ALL THREE OF THESE HOMEOWNERS HAD ONE THING IN COMMON, PRICE WAS MORE IMPORTANT THAN THE QUALITY OF THE WORK. From start to finish a smooth process - communication with LRS was very clear and concise, we knew who to contact if there were any issues, and materials & installation were as described. We had only a couple of small issues - the weather led to some scheduling troubles, the wrong slider was delivered, and an octagon window has yet to be delivered and installed - but even these were and will be handled very professionally with no excuses, just the facts which have been reasonable and fixable. Gino responded to our request for an estimate almost immediately. He was forthright in his estimation of the cost of the project, and worked with us to remain within our budget. Jamie and his crew were amazing. They would arrive around 8:30 a.m. and work until around 8:00 p.m. They were diligent, conscientious, and a joy to have around.
Lifetime saved my sanity, property value, and relationship with my neighbors. We originally hired a different firm, one rated "B" on Angie's List, to do our siding work, however, the "other" firm was a total nightmare. The other firm left my home's subwall exposed to rain for three weeks, was caught not using flashing and not always using house wrap, repeatedly allowed litter from the job site to blow into my neighbors' yards, and scattered lead paint chips throughout my yard (as I have a small child, this was extremely dist... read more
I met with several companies and chose LRS after meeting with Gino Streano, one of the owners/project managers of LRS. I chose LRS due to their professionalism, detailed explanations of the job/materials and reports on Angie's List. This was a huge job (taking almost 8 weeks start to finish I think) that was done well. Gino oversaw the entire project and was extremely responsive to my (almost) daily questions/comments. Ralph at Lifetime remodeling returned our call quickly and came around to give an estimate. The job was handed over to the construction and painting crews. Both crews had tons of experience, and were awesome. When I had questions on the painting, the painters were very patient with me and gave me quite an education. This was important in that we were painting at the start of the rainy season I had concerns. They answered all of my concerns, and the paint job is fantastic. The company representative, Logan, was very professional, courteous, and straight-forward. I especially appreciate that he is so easy to reach and answers his phone when I call him. I rarely get routed to voicemail. The windows are beautiful. The job took longer than originally estimated, but it was very well done. I was pleased with the quality of work of the two installers.
