It went very well. The attic was pretty full of stuff, so we moved a lot of it before the crew arrived. Once there, they moved some of the stuff from one side of the room to the other as the work progressed. This was a big job -- a large attic with a high peak. They also had to work over a room that is built into one end of the attic. We ended up with a very neat, clean job.
Since this is an old house, nothing is standard and there are no square corners. As a result, the doors in particular were quite a challenge, especially the side door. The solution that the crew came up with was downright beautiful. The storm door opening was also non standard and also out of plumb. As a result, the old storm doors never worked right. LRS added my small job to their schedule with about 10 days from the initial estimate meeting. The crew was prompt, professional, and did a spectacular job, start to finish. They found a problem where there was no sheeting behind and area where the siding was removed, and that ended up costing me more $$. But something like that's to be expected. I would not hesitate to use LRS again, and I probably will. I would highly recommend them in a heart beat.
Lifetime was incredibly professional - punctual, reliable, detailed and helpful. We enjoyed getting to know the work crews who replaced the siding, built the deck and performed the painting. Each member of the team seemed committed to providing the highest level of craftsmanship which we greatly appreciated. They turned a very stressful situation into a project we could really get excited about. The house looks amazing! Ralph and all of his company employees were professional, easy to communicate with and were very detail-oriented. It's obvious they take pride in their work. At the end of each work day, they cleaned up the premises. They worked through some heavy rains and even light snow!
The job had two challenges: (1.) Small job. Only siding on half of house front needed to be replaced. (2). Original vertical siding was so old that Mr Streano had to search for a close as possible match then modify that. He did a beautiful job! Can't tell it from the original. Then covered with two coats of a super, long lived paint carefully applied, that will last as long as we have the house. All edges thoroughly caulked. They were excellent. They cleaned up very nicely. The entire job was done excellent. It was done in the middle of the winter. They were just wonderful. They showed up when they were suppose to. They were very knowledgeable. If needed, I would use them again.
Management was professional and very responsive, but seemed to provide insufficient supervision. Much of the original work, both outside and inside, was inadequate and had to be redone, in some cases more than once. If we did not have the initiative and expertise to check the work ourselves, we would have been left with a shoddy job.
