(Backstory) I brought my puppy here due to an infection on 2/6/17. My puppy was treated for the infection and given fluids (due to him being slightly dehydrated) and we were told to go home, monitor him and call back if puppy wasn't feeling better. After two weeks of antibiotics and TLC, my puppy was eating and drinking as normal and I had my fun and crazy puppy back. We had been going to Linda Mar Vet for years. Earlier this year we took our cat in and Dr Wilson had us do all kind of tests and charged us a lot of money. Our cat got a lot worse and we had to put her to sleep a few months after that visit. Yet, another huge cost. We will not return to that veterinary hospital.
We have been coming to LMVH for many years. But due to several recent experiences in the past year we have decided to switch to another veterinary hospital. We are very disappointed with the staff and services at LMVH. We simply get large bills, little compassion from certain veterinarians, no written reports on the problems, and other issues during several recent visits for several dogs. I will say I'm extremely disappointed in this clinic. I was so excited that Dr. Depunzio had joined this vet; however that excitement ended when I had to deal with another male doctor who will remain nameless. This Dr. is so short and doesn't seem to really care about the emotional part of being a vet. I too feel like for LMVH is about the money. This place is a joke. One of the pictures included is the invoice of what I was charged to be told my dog has a sore muscle somewhere. The invoice also increased, without my approval, $100 from what I was told was a "worst case scenario" bid. The second picture is of my dogs rear end that was shaved into his second and third layer of skin. The dog is 20lbs and was sedated when they attempted to just shave hair. WOW, is the only thing I can say. I am shocked and very offended. I never thought this would happen to us as Yelp is a forum for consumers to describe our experiences, both good and bad, to the public without recourse. I just returned from another frustrating visit to LMVH. I showed up on time, but as usual had to wait. The staff regards this as normal and offers no apology for the delay even after I pointedly said, 'backed up today?' I was in for a special diagnostic procedure and the receptionist said they were setting up the room. Didn't they know I was coming? The only reason that i gave them 1 star is because there are no negative stars. i have been bringing my Lab here for the last 12 years. It seems that every time I bring him here they want to sell me something. Sometimes I bought, sometimes I didn't. Well now my dog is 12 and is having problems..all of a sudden he can't walk, he's bloated and won't eat. I think the end is near. I fear the worst. On 3/4/2013, my wife had taken our boxer Star to see the vet because she wasn't acting right. They did blood work, looked her over, and said nothing is wrong with her. They charged my wife 141.00 and sent her home, and by Monday Star had gooten worse. I took her back to see them on Monday and they were nice enough to waive the recheck fee.
