I rarely write reviews, but our experience at Luna by Giada was such a letdown, I felt compelled to share. From beginning to end, it just missed the mark. I ordered the signature lemon pasta, expecting something special, but could barely take a few bites. It was runny, the pasta was undercooked—well beyond “al dente”—and the flavor was just off. I’m sorry to say the Sunday brunch experience was a big disappointment. While the service staff was excellent and attentive the food selection was limited -cold pasta, pizza, over seasoned meat, shellfish stuck in shells. There were no shrimp or tiramisu by the time we arrived at 130 seating. Zero gluten free options-my meal was cheese, olives, salami and over-salted fatty steak $150. They kindly brought a gluten-free dessert from their dinner menu after I mentioned issues. It’s a beautiful hotel but we won’t be back.

Extremely good food great drinks with beautiful tables in a flashy room. Friendly professional greeting. Third time and I’ve grown increasingly unimpressed with the time taken at the table by wait staff talking endlessly about the menu the food the specials literally as if people haven’t been to a restaurant or can’t read. A quick recitation of the specials with staff quietly retreating is what a fine restaurant does. A Ted talk and a lecture is both unwelcome and overly intrusive.

Not what we expected from Giada. Signature Lemon Pasta was bland, lukewarm and all stuck together. Sauce was watery and barely warm. Shrimp was overcooked. So noisy we could not not carry on a conversation at our table. Hostess was very good. Apps were fine. Desert was fine as well. Server was very pleasant but mostly absent.

We went there to celebrate our anniversary and had decidedly mixed experiences. The place is lovely. The service was excellent. The staff, in its entirety, was extremely pleasant, accommodating, and clearly well trained. However, the food varied dramatically.
