Amazing opening night! Service was a little bit slow to start but it was busy and there was so much going on, so we understand. Our server was super friendly and made the best recommendations! We can’t wait to be back :)
Food, service, and ambiance all hit the marks but the prices are a bit delusional. Giada nails it with lemons and parmesan here, especially on the lemon pizza and lemon pasta. Why is a generic fritto misto $27 though? The lemon aioli was fantastic but we're missing a few grams of truffles at this price point. Salad selection is abysmally mediocre unfortunately. We told the host it was my birthday lunch and no one acknowledged.
Following several good reviews of Luna in the past, they seriously dropped to no stars. Our dinner service was comical. Lemon spaghetti was cold & shrimp tasted like a day old. We received our spaghetti before getting silverware (no spoon) and then had to ask for napkins & to refill our water cups. I noticed my husband touching the table throughout the service and finally found out he was killing ants (inside restaurant). We told a busser. We were out with friends. The pizza was soggy and unappetizing. One of our friend's Scallop Risotto was way too salty. Disappointing enough to possibly never return.
We had terrible service and the food was not the same, in a bad way. We have dined here frequently, but I feel this will be the last time. We were actually embarrassed by this experience as we highly recommended this restaurant and it was definitely not to Giada's standards. We drove 40 minutes to dine here and honestly we could've had a better experience at McDonalds. So incredibly disappointed and disheartened by this whole experience.
Lovely food and presentation, plus a very knowledgeable and friendly server. But the wine menu is way overpriced and will probably keep us from returning. Fortunately, the restaurant did have a couple of bottles on a half-price offer ($50 instead of $100). We tried one of these and it was barely worth $50. Certainly glad we didn't pay $100 for it.
Expensive and small portions, lobster tasted dry and mealy. Told staff and was given replacement, which wasn’t any better. Waiter noticed we weren’t eating lobster and stayed away never asking if it was any better. There are better restaurants in Scottsdale, we won’t be returning.
