I've been a member and going to Madison Reed for hair color services since 2015, after my last experience I will never go back. I've been completely discriminated against and discounted over and over again by this salon. Randomly canceled my appointment, which is badly need to do to a broken right arm, I went to the salon to see if they could squeeze me in, told me my appointment has been canceled but continue to take everybody else. There's a serious training issue here with staff.

Great place, love it, but the music is horrible, plays on repeat and is nauseatingly outdated. I come twice a month, staff is lovely.

The Madison Co does color but their business side frightens me. HERE ME OUT: I decided to do business with this company based on what I was told and promised: The sales pitch was for a cost of $75.00 per month for root touch ups including unlimited touchup visits. For me this mean $37.50 per color. Perfect! On my third visit I brought in a check for $75.00. Their email appointment reminder was now showing $80.00 as my monthly owing. Very disappointed...they totally messed up my appointment. The colorist did a good job, but she left after applying my color. Didn't even wait to see how it turned out. The lady who washed my hair did a great job. But even though I had booked a blow out (online and in person to confirm), they did not have a specialist to do it so had the person who washed my hair do the blow dry. This was my first visit to Madison Reed Color Bar. Upon arrival I was not greeted by any staff members for several minutes, staff seemed to be engaged in their own environment, did not seem to be very friendly. It would of been nice if someone would of said we will be with you in a few minutes have seat, some type of acknowledgement of my arrival. I did like the concept of the color bar. BAD EXPERIENCE...For a couple of years I have been buying hair color products from the Madison Reed, Corte Madera store, and I have experienced great service and attitude. Today was a giant exception. The sales employee that came to the front was like an Arctic wind... She was extremely cold, uninviting, impatient, condescending and dismissive. I couldn't wait to pay for my product and leave. As a service oriented business owner myself, this is not a person I would want representing my business!!!

This was an awful experience from start to finish. My colorist Aurora was terse and seemed agitated by the questions I had because I had only dyed my hair at home where I tempered the processing times and controlled the outcome. I had never had someone else do it for me and my questions and requests about adjusting the processing times were met with one word responses and an unfriendly attitude. Very disappointed tonight because I went in for my Roots touch up. I asked the stylist if she could please wear a mask while she applied my color and she said "it's at my discretion" and so I asked the woman who checked me in what my options were since the website's COVID-19 safety measures says that staff wears masks. She proceeded to tell me that corporate sent a memo saying masks were optional for the staff. To her credit, she asked my stylist to wear a mask and she complied which I appreciate. I don't know who could have done this but apparently my review was removed.. All I can say is that all the employees at Madison reed hair color in Corte Madera are rude , not nice and much more ! I tried 2 times , I give up I won't come back.
