I recently went to Madison Reed to get my hair color and I was very happy with the results. The colorist took her time and listen to what I had to say and was able to give me what I had asked for. She Paid special attention to my gray and to the staining that I get usually when I get my tint touchups also she put a glaze on the ends which cut the red that I had done it a previous salon that is very well known in the Country mart in Larkspur. I've been coloring my hair at home to save money, but I don't do a great job, especially in the back. I decided to splurge and go to Madison Reed to get the color all evened out. I have read about them online, and it seems like a lower cost quick way to get my hair colored - which it is but with some caveats. I love their concept and super excited they're opening around the Bay Area. The Corte Madera Village Shopping Center needed something like this. When you're desperate to get your roots dyed, come here. They will beautify your mane with love. I've been here three times now so I figure it's time to write a review! I highly recommend Madison Reed for your root touch up and single process hair coloring needs! I was at the mall yesterday and in dire need of a root touch up and Tephanie squeezed me in for an appointment, which I was incredibly grateful for. My natural hair color is black and i am about 30% gray, so in about 4 weeks, my roots start to look awful. I was contacted by the Manager, Tephanie to go back for another visit. Both Tephanie and Martha (at front desk) made the second experience very different and i am glad i went back. the colorist did an amazing job too. My hair was thoroughly washed and styled beautifully this time. this is not a full service salon but i recommend it for touch up and all over color.
This is the place to come if you just need to get your hair colored or covered. They only do color, so stick to a full salon if you need full service or a haircut. With that said, I was impressed with the results of my color, and overall had a good experience. The gal who was applying the color was new to the salon, but was eager to hear what my needs were and made a few suggestions. Beautiful convenient location. The color my stylist and I agreed upon was a richer cooler brown, just a little darker than my natural color. I loved the esults, and was happy that the color covered my grey hairs. All three of them. Lol madison was clean and friendly, and i felt very comfortable here. It is not a luxury salon by any means, and some of the staff could use a little polish in their demeanor, but overall i was satisfied with the experience.
