This was an awful experience from start to finish. My colorist Aurora was terse and seemed agitated by the questions I had because I had only dyed my hair at home where I tempered the processing times and controlled the outcome. I had never had someone else do it for me and my questions and requests about adjusting the processing times were met with one word responses and an unfriendly attitude. Very disappointed tonight because I went in for my Roots touch up. I asked the stylist if she could please wear a mask while she applied my color and she said "it's at my discretion" and so I asked the woman who checked me in what my options were since the website's COVID-19 safety measures says that staff wears masks. She proceeded to tell me that corporate sent a memo saying masks were optional for the staff. To her credit, she asked my stylist to wear a mask and she complied which I appreciate. I don't know who could have done this but apparently my review was removed.. All I can say is that all the employees at Madison reed hair color in Corte Madera are rude , not nice and much more ! I tried 2 times , I give up I won't come back.

I've gone to Madison Reed six times and the service went from good to terrible! My last experience I was greeted with a mask (I was drinking a coffee and no signs said mask required or I would have put one on). Then I was brought to my seat and told my colorist would be with me shortly. 15 minutes later, I got up to ask the rude manager if I should reschedule and she said no, someone will be with you shortly (I was on time for my appointment). There is no one assigned to the front desk so my colorist was interrupted repeatedly trying to greet clients and take care of their needs. After she applied the color, I did not hear from her as she appeared too busy. I finally flagged her down after 30 minutes and asked how much longer the process would take and she said another 15 minutes. i found this part of the experience was not the personal touch I would want on a salon visit. I left a review one week ago. Management asked for my contact information so they could follow up with me to ensure a five star experience going forward. Hah, they NEVER contacted me! I won't be going back to this salon after the nasty way the manager treated me. I can't subject myself to this "customer service" at $150 a pop. Disgusting! The color was not at all what was promised. The color applied was a disgusting brown grey. It changed the color of my entire head of hair which was a golden blonde. I was specific about what I wanted. So upset, I called the salon & Madison Reed headquarters. (I had to spend more than $250 to repair the damage.) They offered a $40 gift card and promised to send it to me. NEVER RECEIVED IT! False advertising, complete lack of regard for the results.

I was really looking forward to getting a beautiful shade of red to brighten up my mood for spring.
