Wow! Just came in to buy 4 boxes of color, the sales clerk wouldn't accept cash. Is that because of Covid? Then, tried to force a phone number, email address or something just to print out a receipt. They seem to only want to attend to their white customers.. i made an appointment in advance and they took a walk-in and asked me to come back later... horrible service
Waited almost 30 minutes outside in the heat just to buy a take home kit. Nobody helped, never going back.

Dear business manager Hmmm I find it VERY Strange and unusual that you can't find any record of me coming in. I deliberately included the name of the assistant GM, in my post, ANNETTE who knows my name and exactly who I am. I also included the stylists name REBECCA. Here, I Repeat it again to you....ANNETTE and REBECCA. Apparently it's not just hair color that you must do over and over again with this shop. It seems to be a trend

Went to Madison Reed to finally have my hair colored after a long year of allowing my hair to relax from years of harsh chemicals treatments. THIS IS NOT A SALON! This was my first time to visit. When I booked an appointment to touch up my roots, I also asked for a cut, and the receptionist laughed at me. "We don't do cuts." When I arrived for my roots I was informed that I did not book a blow dry and I could "do it myself" because they didn't have time. This was news to me. I'm sad to write this review as I had high hopes for the Madison Reed Color Bar. It was truly a terrible experience! The stylist did not listen to what I told her I wanted. She seemed to be unfamiliar with hair color in general and actually not even very nice. She barely answered my questions and seemed annoyed the entire time. If you are expecting to have your gray hair covered, this is NOT the place to go! I tried to get them to fix it but they said their color only blends gray. The color caused my scalp itch. They claim to use no ammonia (PPD) but the DO use a substitute that is toxic. After researching, I found that Madison Reed uses toluene-2,5-diamine sulfate (aka PTDS), a common substitute for PPD, instead... I received a free color through yelp Elite RSVP. I can say that's I was not impressed with the service or the store. I hate to give a less that positive review but honesty is always the best policy. So if you are not familiar with Madison Reed (like me) you will find out that the company is really a do it yourself color line for at home. It's one of those annoying ads you see on Facebook or google and it is very gimmicky.
