Great customer service - after ordering online during quarantine was nice to go in-store to pick up products and visually see all they had to offer as well as the full color spectrum of colors they offer. Salon is super cute, trendy and was doing a good job of social distancing and offered off hour visits so you could have the salon to yourself. The two stars are for when I first signed up for the service. My colorist is a sweetheart and it was great. I loved the way my hair looked and felt and did not mind paying $55 to have my roots done. Today, I was appalled. The lady washing my hair tried to upsell me like she always does. I refused this time because I don't appreciate being upsold, I pay $55 for your service every month, why do you need to try to make money out of me. First time user. I have light brown hair with blonde highlights. Was on the phone with a MR colorist before ordering. Sent her pictures. Showed her exactly what I wanted which was root coverage only. She recommended a color. When I received the box I had no instructions on how to use. I called MR, no answer, left a message, 24 hours later still no return call. Went on line for a tutorial. Save your money and don't come here. I left feeling worse about my hair then I did when I went in. Asked for blonde, and now I have orange hair and everyone that sees me asks why I decided to go ginger. Wasn't even given the opportunity to tell someone that I didn't like it because they double book.

I would like to leave a negative star review . I had an appointment. I was told I had to wait in the car until they called me . They didn't call so after waiting 15 minutes I walked in. After they seated me I was told they could not color my hair with tape in extensions . I've been wearing tape in extensions for 7 years and have had my hair colored at countless salons . This is simply not true. Not happy at all ! I will be more than happy to share my dissatisfaction with everyone .

I have arrived for my 10:30am appointment , that I have schedule three weeks in advance, and had to wait outside for 30 minutes to find out that my appointment was canceled. I was told I will receive email conformation about appointment or any changes. I have NOT received any notifications. The coloring technician that was doing my hair is manager at Shops of Legacy location in Plano. Unbelievable!!!!!! Every SINGLE TIME I come here, they make me wait and I'm done giving this place a chance! It's so unprofessional to over book the way they do. They are currently 45 mins late in taking me. The girls that work here have no problem leaving you to take care of someone else because there's always a shortage of employees. Poorly managed!! It's 2pm and my appointment was at 1:15. Two clients walked in after me and were seated and started. I've been here once and had a decent experience. I decided to come back and get a membership for future colors. Yeah, NO. I've never been treated so poorly. No desk receptionist to even discuss with. There's something lacking at Madison Reed and that thing is warmth. The entire space is very bright and white with pops of purple. There's no happy and excited buzz you experience at other salons, particularly those that offer color. Most women are excited to either touch up their color or change it up entirely.
