I had to create a profile for my 15-year-old daughter, which included her date of birth, in order to make her appointment. I then spoke with someone at their corporate office to try to make an appointment for myself at the same time, telling him that it was my 15-year-old that I was coming with. At no point did anyone ever tell me that they don't do any work on anyone under 18! It isn't listed anywhere on their website, and no one told me! When the colorist started to apply the color to my hair I asked why she wasn't putting the cream to stop the color from appearing on my head,. She told me that she was so good that I did not need it. When my hair was being washed I also asked that young lady to remove the excess color. She tried and said that it was ok. Well it certainly wasn't it. Incredibly pushy at sales. A man came up to me while color was processing and handed me a bag. I thought they were samples but instead stated they put together a bag of items for me and explained quickly. Then said the price and left the bag near my purse as if I had already purchased it. I figured this was a way of being personal and researched my exact hair needs but instead did the same thing to 3 other clients. I'm a little disappointed in Madison Reeds this weekend. They cancelled my appointment on Saturday, March 5th due to the A/C being out and said they would contact me the next day and I would be a priority. FF I had to call them, and "Dashon" said there was no availability until Thursday. No apology, no offer of a free at home color nothing. I had to run to the grocery store to do my own color. I was a big fan (see my prior review) but it appears that management is constantly revolving

Do not recommend for highlights! I have naturally light hair but have been getting highlights every 3 months for the past 15+years because it gets dull and brassy. When I came in for my partial highlights appointment I was told my hair was already highlighted... When I showed the brassy parts toward my face when I pull my hair back, they said it was because of my make up which that is not the case at all. I am very disappointed with my experience at Madisson Reed today. I had a balayage couple months ago from Madison Reed and had a mixture of caramel / toffee tones in my hair. Today I asked for a little red to be blended, but instead they put red All Over my head... I Lost all my light tones and now have a head of dark brown hair. ONLY in the sun you will see a little hue of color but thats not what I wanted. Very very upset. The ladies at the salon wouldn't listen. Ok let's start off that I have been a client at this salon since they opened. I have never been in love with it, the color is average but it's quick and easy for root touch up. You will never build a relationship with your colorist as you will have a new lady every time you go. I once tried bayalage highlights complete waste of time and money. My first visit was great. I was attended to right away and had a great colorist. My second visit two weeks later was sub par. I had to wait for anyone to acknowledge my presence. It was like I was invisible. I got charged for more color but I didn't have to have more color. The third time was even worse. Still invisible. Even after I was seated, I still had to wait for a long time. I cancelled my Root subscription.
