Just left Madison hair color bar, FIRST and LAST time!!! I am not happy with my hair! I paid $184.00 for root touch up. First arrived and had consultation with Jennifer. We agreed on color and she began. I'm not sure when or if I got the gloss that I paid for. I only recall her adding color. (Unless it was added to color) Forty minutes later she washed out my hair, she asked if I wanted a booster which I agreed to a hydration boost. 6-7 minutes later we head to bow dry hair and I waited patiently for her to finish. The actual text to my best friend walking out of Fantastic Sam's, umm I mean Madison Reed... "Stay away. My hair is the opposite of what I wanted and more dye landed on my face and ears than actual hair!" I am not one to leave any kind of review much less a negative one but this experience was so profoundly negative that it warranted a review. So this was our second visit to the Studio City salon I was bringing my 16-year-old daughter we were nowhere near the late policy we were only about 5 minutes late when I had a black haired elderly lady come up to me and start reading me my rights regarding being punctual it was rude and unwelcoming and frankly we were there for a color correction so she needed to back off and because of this experience we will definitely not be going to this location the one in Woodland Hills seems much friendlier so we will go there

I was referred here by a friend yet clearly if you go there you will see this is an awful place. Rude no one at the front desk 20 minutes late yeah they have a policy that if you arrive late they charge your credit card so I was 15 minutes early I waited 30 minutes to talk to or even see my hairstylist Sydney once I sat down she was rude mean and I had to cancel my appointment based on the fact she could not help me with something very basic that I had already booked. This is a REAL REVIEW - I found Madison Reed Studio by googling the hair color bar. This is my second time at this location. My first experience was not great, just ok, because the stylist Vanessa kept dousing water in my ear. Mind you I have had my hair done before and I never had full-on water in my ears before, she wasn't trying to protect my ears. The rating is for customer service, since unfortunately my appointment was cancelled. Scheduled a root touchup and was texted several times to confirm. Was looking for a new place who did regular touchups. Thought MR looked easy and cute. Was neither. My navigation was saying I "arrived" with time to spare, but couldn't find the location/parking. My first experience at the salon was very disappointing. Initially, I was so excited to purchase the Unlimited Roots Membership at the new Madison Reed color bar at Sportsman Lodge Shops. It's in my neighborhood and I was looking for a convenient place to color my roots, which need to be refreshed monthly. The Roots membership seemed like the way to go. This has nothing to do with my hair as they did a fabulous job. This has more to do with the employee blow drying my hair. She was consistently coughing without a mask and it made my wonderful experience there sour. She even had to take a couple of trips to the bathroom to cough. Luckily I had an extra mask in my pocket and when she came back from her coughing episode I told her I will be wearing my mask as she is coughing.
