I have naturally pretty light blonde hair and, never having done this before, decided to go into Madison Reed to get my "roots done", expecting to get a result which blended with the rest of my hair. I ended up with bright orange roots (a color not found in nature) despite being extremely clear that I only wanted cool tones - and believe me, no one would want what they gave me - see the picture below. Don't go to the Madison Reed color bar if you have curly hair and want a blow out after your color. They don't have time to smooth curly hair. They just want to diffuse it and charge you for that. I was disappointed. I don't like going to hair salon and coming out with wet hair or for me to dry my own hair at the salon. I had purchased a set of 4-5 visits. I just finished my last and will not go there. Not worth it.

I don't think I have ever been disrespected so much at a salon . I entered for my appointment (to make my blond hair match my brown roots) and I could tell right when I entered she did not want to even speak to me . She reluctantly comes over and just starts kinda putting me down and telling me how impossible it would be to do my hair . I left with tears in my eyes I was so hurt and felt honestly ugly. I just got home from my appointment today and I'm really disappointed with the result. First of all JULIE who did my color was rushing me. She got my name wrong twice and when I was telling her what color I wanted, she just totally ignored my request. She literally told me "let's not waste anymore time". I got home and when I checked my hair, I saw that she missed so MANY areas. This is not the first time she did ny hair. Twice I had her and both times I wasn't happy . Poor scheduling customer service that I have never had before. I walked in the store on last Friday night to ask information about the root + light works. The lady was very nice to introduce the product to me and i am so excited to sign up right away and booked the earliest available appointment on the the following Sunday noon. Then i received a call on Saturday morning saying the color pilot was unavailable on Sunday and have me to reschedule on the Tuesday night at 7PM. I was cool with that. I went in to get my "roots done". I have jet black hair. For the first 10-15 min they tried to sell the gloss and a blow out which I chose not to do. The price for roots aren't any cheaper than a real salon with experienced colorist. Anyhow I asked for #1 jet black. She died my hair and I waited 45 minutes. Then she washed my hair. Wrapped it in a small thin towel, and show me where the bathroom was to get out of my robe. Terrible experience buying at home color kit after color bar. I went back to buy the at home kit after a color bar experience. The staff didn't seem to know what they were doing at the desk. They told me I had to buy two color kits, but they told me to mix incorrect proportions and the color was no where close to my original color. Now I have to go to a salon to fix their mistake. So much for being an easy hair color option. Very disappointed.

Why would Madison Reed want to ruin their reputation by hiring a mean spirited woman( dark hair and nose piercing) Does not know anything about coloring or the product and ridicules customers in front of them and others...nasty face making and lazy good for nothing gave all the wrong info and ruined my color..
