In response to the business owner: I already called and spoke to the company about the salon cancelling my appointment after I got there. All I received was "I'm sorry" and an offer for a paltry discount if I would make another appointment and drive another hour back and forth to the salon again. No thanks. BEWARE!!!! While the Madison Reed hair dye does not contain ammonia, it contains ethanolamine. ... In this study, researchers applied different methods to measure hair cuticle damage and protein loss and found that there is more hair damage from ethanolamine than from ammonia; in some extreme cases as much as 85% more. So not worth the price. The staff was nice, that's about it. I paid 162.50 for a root touch up, gloss treatment, conditioning treatment and "blowout." That's in quotes because she literally blew warm air around my hair. She didn't style it at all - not sure why I had to pay $30 extra to have it dried, when it's standard practice anywhere else. I will make this short and to the point. These were my concerns: 2. I was 7 minutes late, told it would create problems and Naomi was in a bit of a hurry. She said they have 30 minute time slots. I was not offered water or anything else to drink. I thought I was speaking with an adult probation officer. 3. I'll give it two stars because the place was nice and clean and the people are friendly. But I'm not happy with my hair at all :( left unhappy I tried telling one lady that my hair got dark and that's not color that I expected. I was really annoyed and irritated.

First timer here and not sure if I want to go back. My colorist was running behind and started me 15 minutes late. Not a big deal but I thought it was incredibly unprofessional of her to apply my color and then leave to go to lunch. It makes sense to me why she applied my color so sloppily that I have dye stains on my neck, forehead and temples-she was in a hurry to go to lunch. Wasted money and time going to the Madison Reed Color Bar in Walnut Creek. Was greeted kindly upon arrival. That and the lady who shampooed me was the best part of my visit. Waited a few minutes for my colorist to consult with me, then got started with the color application. After the application, I was left sitting alone, unchecked for over 45 minutes, then, the person who put the color on my hair never even came back to shampoo me!! I was called 15 minutes prior to my appointment while I was parking and cancelled on. I have a new baby and had planned for weeks for finally getting my color done and was left crying in the parking lot with no offer to make this right.
