HORRIBLE EXPERIENCE HERE! if you're looking to get your hair colored and truly taken care of.... visit anywhere else. I came in to get a light brown red on my dark brown hair. I had asked my hair colorist if she felt confident that i would get the color like the picture i showed her and she said yes, i even kept asking because i wanted to make sure this color bar (not full service salon) could give me what i was looking for. I wet to get my hair dyed a light color and repeatedly asked if they could do it, and then when the I saw the results I was very disappointed. The person who helped was Julia and all she said was that she is sorry and that I should have gone to a full service shop instead, after the fact she didn't dye my hair the wrong color. Julia also told me they would take 40% off, because of the mistake, but they said it was my fault that I didn't go to a full service shop. would not recommend. I would give a lower rating if I could.

I just came back from the salon super dissatisfied - I spent 3 hours ( appt was for 2) - $300 - ended up with 3 different colors in my hair that are disconnected from each other The roots, my previous highlights and the new highlights have nothing to do with each other The colorist agreed and said they need to apply a toner - but this was said after 3:15 hours and after the stylist finished her work- - I had no time to stay to fix what was done

Asked for a darker blonde instead of my usual color. They put it on the roots only. Looks like I need to get my hair done now! Had an appt to get it fixed but was told there's nothing they can do. I asked for my money back (100% satisfaction guarantee?!) and was told I got what I originally booked which was roots only. I will never go back to this location.

I come here because it's an easy way to get my roots dyed but the customer service is terrible. Members of the staff have an attitude and are rude for no good reason. When I arrived no one asked if I was there for an appointment or even acknowledged that a customer walked in for several minutes. My appointment was at 1030 and I was rudely directed to go "sit in that chair" around 1038 after standing in the front area for an awkward 8 minutes. Colorist took 8 min to put color on my head. Kind of plopped the color on, did not use comp to carefully separate by layer to ensure full coverage. Definitely not skillfully if not thoroughly done. We'll see how long it lasts.

I came here hoping to change my hair color to the way I've always wanted. I went in sat down in the chair and put on the smock as directed. A woman came by and asked me what I had in mind. I showed her a picture she became very condescending and rude and told me I would have to go somewhere else. She could have been nicer. I have never been treated like this in my entire. I had an appointment at 1pm. Called them to say I was running late. Had to park in Walnut Creek. Got there at 1:13pm, and the lady said I was too late. They only hold appointments 10 minutes! This is unacceptable, and this is the worst customer service I've ever received. They probably overbooked and I was made to pay for their mistake. I hate Madison Reed color bar in Walnut Creek!!!

Appreciate the response from MR and yes, I went to my dermatologist about six months ago to get the problem diagnosed. I am taking Viviscal vitamins and using Minixodil. Honestly don't know what to think. The claims in the class action lawsuit run counter to this response, and also point out that one of the ingredients in MR dye is recognized by the EPA as a carcinogen.
