After an unexpected stay in the hospital, my husband was transferred to Marin Post-Acute for Physical & Occupational therapy. He was there for 2 weeks in early June of 2026. This facility was beyond our expectations! It is clean, warm & welcoming! The staff from the nurses & PT/OT to the kitchen & janitorial people, everyone were caring & respectful. The food was pretty good, too. We're so grateful that he was sent to Marin Post-Acute!!
I've had two separate stays at Marin Acute - once for 3 months after breaking a shoulder and recently for 3 weeks after breaking 2 ribs. i can't say enough good things to report regarding my care. Especially about the staff! So kind, so concerned, so professional! I got to know the nurses quite well, and always looked forward to their visits. I want this Lynnett F. That she should check out this facility more closely. The staff and medical crew are well knowledgeable in their skill. Ask any nurse and she will answer, don't just stand there and think a question will be answered with out making any move on your part. Are you one of these people that just expects everything right away? Nancy is the best receptionist at Marin Post Acute in San Rafael. She has the ability to multitask and articulates clearly. She is resourceful and her ability to problem solving in find information quickly while maintaining a calm tone of voice are a big plus. These qualities are part of her diligence as a receptionist. I recently had a close family member spend two weeks at this facility after a hospital stay. The staff was so attentive, professional & cheerful. My family member went from not being able to walk or stand to walking on his own in less than two weeks thanks to the great care and physical therapy received here, at Marin Post Acute. The facility is clean and very visitor friendly. Our family couldn't have been any more happy with the service provided by this facility.

My Mom has been at MPA for over 2 years. Having Kaiser on site, dementia, and her excellent physical therapy leading to her recovery from a broken ankle were primary factors for her to stay long term. The key to her transition to everyday living has been the floor nurses, the CNAs, and the activities team. Recently I spent five weeks at the Marin Post Acute rehabilitation center due to a total knee replacement surgery. If you or anyone you know needs a rehabilitation facility in Marin, this is the place to go. Let me tell you why. Everybody that works here is caring, very kind, attentive, and competent.
