My father was admitted here for the final stage of his life. This place nearly saved my life at a time I was at such a loss for help and descending into a pretty dark and hopeless space. From day one, the admissions staff was professional and compassionate. I had visited five or six skilled nursing facilities in desperation to move my father from an assisted living facility. Either none could provide a hospice move-in, or the facility was just not an appealing option (see my review for Professional Post Acute Center). Angie ... read more

Staff was amazing. Very patient & caring with my very cranky dad. He was in for 1 month and they treated him like he was in the Ritz Carlton. Facility was nice and clean and didn't feel like a rehab center. We had been to other facilities in Marin and this is by far the best.

Ana Benitez provides the best social services to the patients here at Marin Post Acute. Her professionalism is beyond compare. It is apparent that she takes pride in helping the patients here and is not afraid to go above and beyond. Her role has many challenges which she takes in stride.

It's tough to be in any skilled nursing facility as far as I am concerned, but my Dad had a stopover here and the folks were very receptive to our requests and needs. Special thanks to Ana and Romi who were terrific in accommodating my Dad's needs.

I give heartfelt thanks to the staff at Marin Post Acute in San Rafael who have been for caring for my mother for the past nine years, after a diagnosis of advanced dementia. I especially thank Lilyvette Escobedo, Director of Social Services, who has the daunting task of managing this program, and maintaining a balancing act between staff, clients, and family members, in light of the diminishing resources that face our elderly community. I have peace of mind knowing that my mother is well cared for, and that Lilyvette Escob... read more

I just would like to give the biggest of thanks to the amazing staff here at Marin Post Acute! The sensitivity and care they give my mother is outstanding. Lillyvette and her team (a special shout to Jeanette) keep my mother comfortable and happy and I am so grateful to the entire team there! It is always a challenge, getting older and maintaining dignity for my mother has been atop priority. I am so grateful that we found Marin Post Acute.

Everyone here worked so hard to make sure I was comfortable after my hip replacement surgery. The health care professionals at Marin Post Acute work 12 hour shifts helping us build back our health. A big thank you to Romi Santos and all your team and a special mention to the incredible Physical Therapy Department who had me walking on my own within one week...Bravo! Why not 5 STARS?...Lack of medical leadership. In my opinion, there is an urgent need to have a "Charge Nurse" on every shift. A charge nurse is a registered nu... read more

My husband was in Marin Post Acute for 9 weeks. The care he received was wonderful - caring, attentive nurses, daily housekeeping, excellent frequent PT/ OT, knowledgeable, helpful coordinator. I strongly recommend this facility with its open, light feeling and sunny patio.
