Understaffed and overworked personnel... No rehab that I've seen so far has enough staff to properly care for patients. For the most part they did what they could with few resources. Jen, SNF Care Coordinator, was a champion in helping us navigate the oftentimes confusing medical system. She went above and beyond to make sure our family member was getting better care. California standards for care must be updated! I was happy when my family member was released and we could get him to better care in Sonoma County.

Business response:

Dear Darris, Thank you for bringing the short staffing issue to our attention. We are actively addressing this concern and working to improve our staffing levels to ensure the highest quality of care for our residents. Your feedback is appreciated as we strive to make positive changes. Sincerely, Romi Community liaison Marin Post Acute

My aunt lived at Marin Post Acute for a bit over three years.she was on MediCal and lived upstair. The facilities in places like Marin Post Acute can always be better but it's about what one would expect. that said, the staff was wonderfu. My aunt was treated with respect and had wonderful care under difficult conditions. I never met a staff person who wasn't pleasant and engaging. They are the reason for four stars. I couldn't work in that environment but I am thankful for those that can and do.

Good people make a good place. We encountered many of these people at Marin Post Acute making a positive difference for my sister on her very difficult road Home. My sister suffered from brain tumors that took her sight and eventually her life. Her care at the facility was not perfect. Overall, they were professional and did a hard job satisfactorily. The people that stood out were Judith who at the beginning of a bumpy start asked me, "What can I do to help your sister?" I asked that she be close to a bathroom because sh... read more

I have been hospitalized numerous times, and been in skilled nursing institutions more than I like to admit. When first arriving I was, once again, unhappy to be there. This is my first experience at this location and after nearly 4 weeks I am blown away. Not only is the staff friendly and caring their attention to detail is remarkable. I never felt. belittled or unaccepted in any way. Over the last number of weeks not only has my strength been restored, but my dignity and self-confidence have been reestablished beyond belie... read more

In early 2021 I spent one month as an in-patient at Marin Post Acute. As I was approaching my 70th birthday I began falling down without warning. My gait was steady, but not steady enough. Had to call the EMT's to peel me off my garage floor -- twice ! I spent two weeks in the hospital being worked up. Final verdict: I had Peripheral Neuropathy. Marin Post Acute was the next stop. I was there exactly one month. I should have thought about going on Yelp* sooner, but I thought Yelp* did restaurants and plumbers, no... read more

Marin Post Acute is as good as it gets. The entire team from nursing to therapy as well as front office staff is loving and excellent at their jobs. The facility itself is the best I've seen, it's obvious they renovated and spared no expense. I'm very grateful to this team for all they do and the difference they make in the community!

My experience with post-surgery rehabs centers has not been great. The two I'm familiar with both suffered from a "dingy" feel, loud patients and a staff that didn't seem to care much. So, my hopes for Marin Post Acute were not great. I was so wrong. When my older Japanese friend was injured in a fall, she was taken there for six weeks of rehab. They were such caring and lovely people. Even with all the COVID restrictions, they were very good about letting us visit at the window, and there was virtually no wait when we ... read more

The staff was very caring and encouraging towards my mother who was there for rehabilitation after major back surgery. She received excellent physical therapy and occupational therapy. Since she has back precautions of no bending , lifting and twisting, they worked with her on adjusting her way of getting dressed and all her activities of daily living. She would definitely go back to the facility if she needs to in the future.
