Yelp admin want me to clean up my comments :-) ... (or else I'll trash talk like ....) I feel the same way with many of the previous customers that did or used go to Mervis and shop for an engagement ring. ---STYLE & Layout--- Security: Have to enter through 2 security door and there is a security guard at all times. Safety rated at 5 Selling Style: Enter into a waiting room and wait for a sale consultant. My comments: Wait time is about 15-30min for one to show up even if you have an appointments. I had finally decided to propose to my girlfriend. It was thursday and I wanted to propose on monday so I called Mervis and made an appointment on short notice. I had my mother and father with me and Jonny Mervis himself helped us choose our diamond and setting. It was all very smooth and efficient. Mervis really pulled through by turning the ring around and shipping it out the next day for a guaranteed 9:30AM delivery on saturday. My fiancé and I went there to purchase our wedding bands. Unfortunately the place where he purchases mine, closed their northern va location and only had another one about 45 minutes away. We went to Mervis because we has some friends purchase their rings there so we went to check it out. Tina was our salesperson and she was very honest and professional. I worked with Jon at Mervis and went in to see him twice and he was very professional, easy to talk to, and brought out several loose diamonds for me to view. I was looking for a specific colored diamond and he said he could have one sent in if the ones he had were not exactly what I was looking for. He followed up with me via email and wasn't trying to push any specific diamond on me. He was a pleasure to work with!!!!!! Ask for Jon if you want to work with a friendly professional!!!!

My husband and I were shopping for a simple gold wedding ring. We called one Friday afternoon and they told us to come on in. The saleswoman was attentive; the service felt personal. It is important to understand that the process is not like walking up to a jewelry counter and getting a chance to look over many styles and prices at once. My fiance and I went to Mervis to look at wedding bands when Mervis hosted a trunk show of Martin Flyer and Sasha Primak rings. With attentive, polite and friendly service from Marilyn Zalcman we were shown and able to try on a wide assortment of rings, which was great for me since I had no idea what I was looking for in a men's ring. With Marilyn's patient help my fiance and I both ended up with amazing rings that we are really excited about, which is pretty important since we'll be wearing them FOR-EV-ER and all. I was so disappointed with Mervis today. My fiance and I made an appointment to look at wedding bands. We arrived 10 minutes early and were escorted to a private room to wait for a salesperson. We sat and waited, 10 minutes went by, then 20, then 30. No one came to explain why there was a delay or to see if we needed anything. 30 minutes after our appointment was supposed to start, we decided to leave. I'm a huge fan of Mervis diamonds. My boyfriend got my engagement ring from Mervis and it is amazing (I get a lot of compliments...). We recently went back for our wedding bands and the service was excellent. I briefly described the style of band I wanted and the sales person came back with 10 rings that matched my criteria. She was very attentive and knowledgeable about what she was showing us. Highly recommended!

This is a much better place to shop than Kay's or Zales or any of those places. The quality of their merchandise is MUCH better, and you'll get more for your money IF you know what you're doing. They carry a lot of beautiful designer brands like Tacori and Ritani, but also have more affordable lines. Their service is also very good. My fiance and I dealt with Gail and she was terrific - she even sent our EGL diamond to get certified by GIA when we asked, but still gave us the EGL price.
