If you want to overpay for your diamonds and be talked down to in the process, Mervis' is the place for you. Both the salesman and the jeweler actually INSULTED my fiancee's engagement ring, saying that perhaps the top was crooked, and that the ring was ILLEGAL because it didn't have 14k stamped on it. "If that ring came into my shop I wouldn't work on it," they said. When we found a few we liked, they loudly announced the cost of each ring to the entire store. My girlfriend & I recently visited the Mervis store located in Tyson's Corner to possibly pick out an engagement ring. We actually went on two separate occasions. I'd like to first mention that our sales representative, Sara Tosyali, was absolutely superb. She was attentive, professional, knowledgeable and really made us feel very at ease. My husband and I went to the Tyson's Mervis to look at engagement rings. My husband had heard good things about them from friends and family who also purchased their engagement rings there. My husband bought my engagement ring here and had nothing but incredible things to say about the people he worked with (and he did A LOT of shopping around). I purchased both my fiancee's engagement ring and both of our wedding bands at Mervis In Tyson's Corner. I cannot say how much we both loved our experience with Mervis. Lisa Binder helped us pick out the most prefect wedding bands. Sara Tosyali at the Tysons location was down to earth, friendly, knowledgeable and fun to work with. My fiancé and I met with Sara a couple weeks ago, and I wanted her to find the perfect diamond, after selecting exactly what my fiancé wanted. During those 2 weeks, I shopped around at other boutique jewelry stores, not impressed. Sara found the perfect stone and my fiancé and I went back to see the stone today. My fiancé smiled and cried tears of joy, we found the perfect diamond thanks to Sara. Great purchasing experience.

Yelp admin want me to clean up my comments :-) ... (or else I'll trash talk like ....) I feel the same way with many of the previous customers that did or used go to Mervis and shop for an engagement ring. ---STYLE & Layout--- Security: Have to enter through 2 security door and there is a security guard at all times. Safety rated at 5 Selling Style: Enter into a waiting room and wait for a sale consultant. My comments: Wait time is about 15-30min for one to show up even if you have an appointments. I had finally decided to propose to my girlfriend. It was thursday and I wanted to propose on monday so I called Mervis and made an appointment on short notice. I had my mother and father with me and Jonny Mervis himself helped us choose our diamond and setting. It was all very smooth and efficient.
