Best printer I have found in years A little hard to set up initially especially if you have trouble with close-up vision, but it is really a great printer with its own operating brain. It cleans itself automatically, the ink price is reasonable, and it is compact and does everything the giant Epson that I just recycled did.

Happy to have found this. Brother MFC-J 491DW Needed a new printer right now first week of Dec. 2020. Only to find printer shortages at all the local retailers du to home school and remote work during Covid time. I found this older model on Amazon brand new for a very reasonable price of $80, so I snapped it up. Was delivered very promptly. It has most all the same features as my defunct HP, which I spent $150 on and became non-functional within 16 months of very light use. Not a bad little printer Print quality is not great but not bad. Nice little printer and overall happy with it. Biggest complaint is that it won't feed envelopes well at all. Jam's constantly and they are not very large/thick envelopes. For the price, I'm pleased with this printer.
great printer and easy to find cheap ink Thing I like about Brother printers is how affordable the inks are, much more so than Canon and HP. I'm not sure about the Epson.
