Five Stars A fantastic trouble free printer.
Brother Has A Good Platform in the MFC-J985DW Printer The only problem I've encountered is with the manual feed tray. Feeding envelopes one-at-a-time and having to reinsert the envelope because of a mis-feed is no fun. And misfeeds with envelopes is frequent. However, if you only occasionally use the envelope feed, it is an excellent low-volume printer.

Excellent Print Quality and Easy to Setup Even for Computer Noobs I love this printer! It was very easy to set up and the printing quality is superb. I spent a lot of time comparing printers and finally came down to this model. I wish I would have bought this one earlier rather than dealing with my old Dell printer which kept putting out horrible print jobs or not picking up the paper for the print job. Very happy with this purchase. What a great little printer! Colors are excellent. Copies great, scans great. I had to set it up twice for some reason. I installed it on 3 laptops to work wireless. Because of the additional software (PaperPort) it took a long time to install, so I didn't like having to do it over again. Have no idea why it didn't take the first time. But it's working now and I love it. This model came with additional ink cartridges, so I'm set for what they say is 2 years.

Five Stars So far so good. I print on glossy photo paper and basically print X-rays. Good resolution and easy setup
easy setup, scans beautifully I have only had this printer set up for a few hours, but after struggling with an HP all-in-one for 7 years this printer is heaven. It's fast, easy setup, scans beautifully, PHOTO print quality isn't like the HP (but I spent a FORTUNE on cartridges for that thing!) and does leave something to be desired, but I'm willing to put up with that for economy's sake. All in all, a nice printer.
Very good choice The unit works very well and was relatively easy to set up. After set up it printed wireless on the first attempt.
