Print quality is very good. The Brother MFC-J985DW replaces an Epson printer that had worn out. The new Brother printer allows me to print to it wireless from my iPad, as well as from the rest of the PCs through the network, which is something that the Epson could not support. Print quality is very good.
This is the best printer I have ever used This is the best printer I have ever used! Easy to set up, easy to use. I have to print a lot of PDF documents for work and I used to only be able to do 6 full 50 page packets on my Epson before it would run out of ink. I wasted so much money buying ink it for that piece of crap. I have already printed 12 of these same packets and I'm not even 1/8th of the way through the ink. Very impressed with this printer!! This is a high quality printer and the prints are exceptional! Very impressed with it overall. Printed a birthday card without using the computer, just used the app on the touchscreen. Pros include: High quality prints Touchscreen works great Amazing ink cartridges even in the starter cartridges
Ink Cartridges Last a Long Time Love this printer. We were spending a lot of money on HP cartridges. With this Brother model the cartridges not only last a really long time, (about 1 cent each for black & white copies) the quality is great too. Color copies are a little light, but okay for our use, I would recommend this for any home office.

Still working like a champ Still working like a champ. My OLD Brother MFC 665cw is still working, but I wanted one for myself and gave my wife the 665. I've had this one for a few months now and I have 0 faults with it.
It was mostly easy to set up Despite to printer arriving in a box too big with little packaging, the printer came out of the box undamaged. It was pretty easy to set it up in wireless mode. Just plug the CD in and it did almost all the work. Setting up the printer was a little confusing because of the directions talk about a printer cable connection, which after turning the printer every which way and pushing everywhere on the printer no place could be found in which to plug a cable. This is the best printer I have ever owned This is the best printer I have ever owned. Brother figured it out and this blows HP and Canon out of the water with affordable ink and fast, quality prints.
