Jams constantly! Every third or fourth print job jams the printer and trips the circuit, requiring me to run to the basement fuse box and reset, then come back upstairs, open the front and/or the back, fish out the jammed item, and then hope it does not happen again. Sometimes I have to do this whole operation several times in a day. How annoying! This is the fourth Brother MFC printer we have had over the last 15+ years or so. Brother still makes it a chore to collate copies of multiple page documents! Okay, this is a Brother printer so that automatically means it is a great printer in my opinion. Nothing really changes about the quality of Brother printers. This is my third and they have all worked well with heavy use. I deducted one star from this purchase due to one of my pet peeves with the printer. Called Brother Support and was very happy with their service Called Brother Support and was very happy with their service, it had a leaky toner. They are sending me a new one.
Not Postscript compatible Spec says BR-Script3, PostScript® 3™ compatible. Linux/Mac drivers contain a ppd file, which calls a binary program to convert the postscript file into whatever format the MFC-L5900DW speaks. That is not how being postscript is supposed to work. If you send a simple postscript file to the printer it either reboots or treats it as ascii text. WE WOULD LIKE A FULL REFUND We had to return this printer because we could not get it to communicate with our computer. Our computer tech worked on it two different times without success. He said upon researching it, the problem we were experiencing was a common one among other buyers of this printer. We purchased a TN850 high yield toner and a DR820 drum at the same time as purchasing this printer. One Star Print quality is awful and I cannot get support because I am 4 days outside of the support window.

After 2 other pretty good Brother printers Run away. After 2 other pretty good Brother printers, this one is about worthless. I have had it for 6 months and scanning was up to par. Printing so-so. 2 days ago something went haywire with the driver. After AVG assured me my computer was good and not being blocked by their firewall, I called Brother.
