Decent print quality, garbage features that force toner purchases Print quality is good. It's not a terrible printer but has deliberately fabricated problems with it to force users to purchase toner when they don't need it and the ControlCenter 4 software leaves a lot to be desired. Horrible Print Quality We've had this printer for three years and it has never worked well. It has had the drums replaced 3 times with authentic HP parts and we've only ever used HP toner and it has never printed well. HORRIBLE quality!!!!!! Save your money.
after 6 months of light use the printer is not working Used in a small doctor's office, already not working. Very expensive ink to replace.
TOO FRICKEN SLOW!! This is the SLOWEST printer I have ever owned. We have very high speed internet, so it is not that. It doesn’t matter where you are in the office, so it’s not that. You could write a letter faster than this thing prints!
Works great I had a firmware problem with one that I originally ordered from Amazon. Brother tech support was horrible and very unsupportive, but Amazon was GREAT to work with. I was concerned that the large size of the package and complexity of the packaging would be hard to return and replace. just ordered my second one I print many thousands of pages of product labels a month. Many thousands. I've used HP, Dell, and Oki printers. Oki died after a few thousand pages. HP and Dell suck you dry for their toner. They also don't match print quality. Someone else called Brother's toner policy "draconian". This statement couldn't be more wrong. Sending it back after less than two weeks I hate HP, my office is full of them. They are loud, temperamental, and expensive to run. So when I saw a chance to go a new route I took it. This printer had the best reviews of any in its range. It was cheaper to buy and cheaper to run. Unfortunately after two paper jams that required the unit be stripped down and force fed wads of paper to clear it's going back. This was a total waste of money I bought this printer for it's high yield features for my office. It was very expensive, and had problems working from the beginning and only lasted till just after the year manufacture warranty. Very disappointed in this product
no 2-sided scan, slow to print scans like a beast but you can't scan 2-sided. we use as wireless printer and it takes almost a minute for the document to start printing. ran out of ink in 2 months (and yes, ink replacement is VERY expensive - like $500) after about 4k documents printed.
