I developed a retinal tear and was referred to Dr. Ammar. After a thorough examination he recommended treatment. His clear explanation and patient, caring manner made me comfortable to go ahead with the prescribed procedure. He followed up monthly for a year to be sure the tear was stable, which it still is over a year later. I have had two other concerns and both times the office got me right in. I was very comforted from the moment Dr. Ammar walked in. He was friendly, and extremely knowledgeable, and took time to explain everything to me in a way in which I could understand. He even went above and beyond to look at a couple of different concerns that I was having, and assured me that he could help me with them after we took care of the main reason that was seen.
I had my first visit with Dr Ammar. The office and equipment appeared new and clean. The staff was professional and courteous. The wait was a bit longer than I would like but it wasn't so bad and the staff did apologize. Dr Ammar was very knowledgeable, friendly and easy going. Best of all he took his time to explain everything and answered all my questions. It felt like an actual visit with a concerned doctor instead of being rushed through a fast food burger joint.
Because of my history with retinal detachments, I see a specialist every year for a recheck. When I moved from the East Coast to the West Coast, I had difficulty finding a good new specialist—I research where they went to med school, internship, residency, the whole bit. Dr. Ammar is as terrific as his training—he takes his time, answers all questions, and offers options/suggestions. Just superb! Staff is pleasant and efficient too.

Dr. Ammar was excellent in presenting what my particular issue was and making me feel comfortable that he was the exact right person to help me. When it came time for the actual procedure it was painless just as he had promised. At this point in our relationship I offer the highest rating possible.
