Staff and Dr. Ammar were knowledgeable, friendly, and efficient. Diagnosis and explanation were thorough and Dr. Ammar took the time to answer all of my questions. I was also impressed with staff's handling of a very rude and impatient person in the waiting room.

I recently moved to San Diego from Los Angeles and I needed a new eye doctor. I was using the Retina Macular Institute in Torrance. The Doctor gave me a complete analysis of my condition and recommended to have a cataract evaluation. It was the best treatment for me in years.
Dr. Ammar gathered an enormous amount of information from a variety of measurements, both from instruments and from direct examination, to give a thorough and complete review of my condition. He explained how the eye worked, and in particular the macula and the retina. His explanations were clear and he answered every question. Dr Ammar was extremely knowledgeable and professional. He did a very thorough exam and diagnosed a tear in my retina. He immediately repaired it with laser treatment, which was painless and quick. I am so grateful for his diagnosis and expert skills to repair my eye.
Dr. Ammar is an outstanding Physician. He is an excellent Ophthalmologist/Retinal Specialist. His knowledge and expertise is unparalleled, as is his bedside manner. Dr. Ammar spends time to explain everything in a way you can understand. There are not enough positive adjectives to describe him. I am blessed to have found him and honored to be one of his patients.
I arrive a few minutes early and was seen immediately! No long wait time which is usual with this practice. I had a very good session with Dr. Ammar who didn’t rush and answered my questions.
I was referred to Dr Ammar by the other wonderful eye specialist, Dr Aminlari due to a bleed that was found a few years back, all tests were done with care and the staff was well organized and trained. Dr attitude is kind, professional and learned about my issue. I trust and recommend him highly.
